We should poach Peterboroughs scouting staff, they can spot a striker. Dwight Gayle, Britt Assombalonga, Ivan Toney all sold for good money. Clarke-Harris the next off the conveyor belt
Spot on. If Thomas and Thomas don't fath about on the touchline and clear the ball we go to penalties. Our own ineptitude.
Chansiri has thrown hundreds of millions at his club. He has shown time and time again that he is prepared to financially break the rules to gain a upper hand for his club. He has been investigated multiple times for financial irregularities and accused of breaking financial laws to give his club an illegal upper hand. Why is it so far fetched to believe that he has given money to select individuals in order to be given favourable decisions in key games? I'm not talking about a massive conspiracy where he's bribed the EFL but the guy rubbing var yesterday? The ref in the Peterborough game? There's absolutely no doubt that chansiri would do that. His record of paying money to cheat at Sheffield Wednesday has proven that. We know that police bribes happen. It may not be widespread but we know it happens. We know that politicians are bribed. Not always but it happens. We know it happens in all walks of life really So what we are saying is that there is absolutely no chance at all that a referee can be bought because they have morals far superior to anyone in other professions. I personally don't believe that to be true. I don't believe that referee's are morally superior to anyone else and I believe there's as much chance of a referee accepting a bribe as there is a police officer or a politician. In fact I'd say that in all probability the likelihood of a referee or var referee accepting a bribe from someone we know to be a financial cheat (and football is full of them, we know that) is much realistic than a professional referee with 30+ camera angles making a decision yesterday that the entire footballing world knows was clearly wrong.
Why? Take place in all industries that's not a continuity theory that's a fact of life. what we are saying oh what we are all told to believe is that football referees are the only industry who also period and that could never happen with I've seen a lot of referees I don't think they're gods I think they're normal people normal people sadly can be bribed not all of them but some
The levels of ineptitude in applying VAR in this country would mean bribary of epidemic proportions. They were two lower league referees in charge of a final with just HOW much VAR experience? Note the championship final had VAR experienced officials.
Wasn't the var official a premier League ref? I'm not sure about that but I think I saw that. I'm not talking about bribery everywhere by the way, I just mean it absolutely must happen on rare occasions because even though it sounds conspiracy-ish to say it it's actually less likely to believe it wouldn't ever happen than it is to believe it would.
I spent a bit of time with a premier league ref recently , well FIFA ref and he told me of a few instances when he was offered bribes. he didn’t accept them. Well, that’s what he told me
He reffed 2 Premier league games this season and Leicester v Blackburn in FA cup and nearly all his other games were in the Championship, so he had experience in VAR and isn’t a lower league ref.
VAR was the thing Duff was looking to, to get things right. Sadly the officials took the pi55. Ignoring the obvious. Re penalties I'm becoming cynical in the fact we are not given any in the league (barring forest green) due to our complaints and refs not wanting to be seen as giving us one, if as not to be seen as owing us one. So to speak. Just a theory nowt else. Khaled. Whilst speaking truthfully. (And I do like the guy) , I'm afraid won't wash with the EFL. They'll defend their officials to the hilt and any hint of a suggestion of corruption will be defended to the hilt.
Think if I was khaled I'd be asking for a copy of the tape that records the conversations between VAR the puppet with the whistle and his officials.. oh sorry due to an unforseen error someone forgot to press record.....
It's a testament to how good we are that we were 10 v 12 AND STILL created great chances. But the fact remains the referee ensured that we were at a disadvantage the first chance he had
Khaled’s interview with radio Sheffield wasn’t all that convincing. “We’ll try to keep Duff” and “if I were a championship club I’d be looking at all 11 of them”
