I'm still hurting after Monday. This has resulted in me becoming extremely aggressive with anyone and everyone who has the audacity to think in a different way. It is out of character for me to lash out like I have done, wanting to fight all. May I take the opportunity to apologise to anyone who I have hurt and upset with my comments and actions? It's not personal, but is wrong and inexcusable. Sorry Kev
fair dos. don't be so hard on yourself though, it's been a rubbish 48 hours. fowk here will know if you've snapped at someone, it's out of the ordinary
I've only just started talking about it. I'm really trying to get some real perspective attitude, Ben came over from Spain with the grandson. That was lovely. We finished 9 points behind them in the league. The boys on the field did us proud , what more can we ask. Here's hoping we can keep hold of our top coach , we going to lose him one day. Let's hope we can have at least another season from him.
It hurts because it means so much. I think were all a bit down but it is getting easier day by day. I was thinking of the other days as a reds fan that spring to mind that have been close to this feeling (apart from 25 weds ones) Strangely the 3-3 draw with sheff U back in 2000 at their place, marcus bent with a 96th minute equaliser.. took me yonks to get over that, also early 90s.. 2 up against top of the table west ham at upton park.. lost 3-2. Probably many more to come but just highlights how much this club and town means to us.
I didn’t see your posts Kev, dear friend.? I was too upset to look at this page. BUT, if you feel a need to do penance. Go vegan for a week & the universe will forgive you..
Monday would've been easier if they'd wiped the floor with us. But the two big calls going against us, as well as missing a glorious chance in the first half of extra time, just leaves a feeling of 'what if?' While past history also has me questioning 'what now?'
I haven't seen anything I thought was aggressive Kev. If you feel that you have been then fair dos but in the same way I see you cut others some slack sometimes, you should also do that for yourself. And I think It is excusable.
Nor read much on here but it's unusual for you to upset anyone. We let you off this time but don't do it again!!! ( that was said in my best teacher's voice)
Chris Brunts' last gasp goal at Hillsboro about 20 years ago. If I remember rightly we were behind 1-0, then had Hecky sent off. We equalised then footballed them off the park. In the last minute Chris Brunt hit a right foot screamer into the top corner (normally his right foot is just to use up the other shoe in a pair). Walking back to car and a Wednesday fan walks past me and says "you must be gutted mate". Could quite easily taken a swing at him in the heat of the moment and as anyone who knows me would know I'm the most mild mannered guy you could meet. Off the top of my head that's one of the worst times coming out of a ground that I can remember.
We are all hurting Kev. I vented by suggesting who we’d get rid of, probably a bit too soon, and got abused because of it. The abuser probably did it only because they were hurting too. Nobody should take any offence whatsoever this week. Hope you are well
