It was hard enough for our game both sets of fans to get to Wembley and back, but at least we had the option of trains. Seven reporters in the Daily Star today did a combined City/United 11. The most United in any line up was three. The most popular pick for United was Luke Shaw. It was generally 2 or 3 of De Gea, Shaw, Casemiro, and Rashford. The media keep calling City their rivals simply because they are from the same city, but United fans will never see them as rivals in the way they see Liverpool. United will be up for it today to stop City moving a step away from the treble. City will possibly win a close one either 1-0 or 2-1.
They were rivals because they dominated and competed for the league for years. City more so than Everton were bang average at best. City are the big boys now and have been for a few years. History will still mean rivalry between united and liverpool. But it will hurt united fans more to be playing second and even 3rd/4th/5th fiddle. To city. Can see Newcastle and Arsenal overtaking united for a while to come.
Anyone picking De Gea should be immediately sacked as a pundit. He's been a liability for a while now.
I can't see there being much transport chaos, the United fans will have no trouble on the M4 from Devon and the M11 from Norfolk.
Well from a half Manc household, one train already cancelled this morning and now having to catch one from Donny shortly, another got off ok at 7am this morning. The Manchester trains are full of city, United fans can walk it to Wembley
Hope City smash them and set a record for biggest cup final victory. No particular love for City but plenty of dislike for United.
You realise that is BS don’t you ? People fly in from Norway for Liverpool games, out of 750000 at O/T there will be more Mancs than there are fans of any other club in the UK
