What is the point as well, in the suspended points deductions, because they've done this a number of times now. And I doubt if anything will be done here, apart from the usual weak Efl 'warning'.
They only had money when they had the local owner who bankrolled them to the prem. Similar to reading with John madeski, infact wouldn't be surprised to see them in real trouble this season aswell.
I keep nipping over to Latics Speyk to see if I've reached the point of feeling sorry for em but, nope, not there yet.
https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/65723359 Wigan said they were "extremely disappointed" with the latest deduction, and will consider taking legal action."The football club has been very transparent with the EFL, who have had clear visibility of the eight-figure sum to finance the remainder of this season and the whole of next season," a statement said. "The club will now consider all options open." The club has failed to meet a deadline that they've known about for a while and are now considering legal action. They are an utter disgrace, rather than taking responsibility they are blaming others again. No excuses, hope the egg chasing bummers go bust

But when they keep doing it, why aren't they kicked out of the league or at least dropped to the bottom league like rangers were in Scotland
Who'd have thought someone that would think hiring Joey Barton was a good thing, was a wrong un themselves.
Still crazy they have the audacity to get annoyed at the fact that “they” got a 12 point deduction and that we then managed to score a goal that kept us up at their expense. Even more narrow minded idiots than I ever actually realised. Hope they go out of business.
So that's surely another 4 points off, making it -12? How many months of that go on before the efl do something? Perhaps one of those continually not being paid should start some legal action against the efl for not ensuring the owner is fit n proper, that might make the efl do summat.
What can the EFL do? The owners have been there 2 years and spent millions of pounds. They clearly had funds at when the fit and proper tests were done. The EFL can't be expected to foresee things two years down the line.
But they can be expected to take action now, instead of taking on face value the owners promises every month that the cash is there, when every month, as it turns out, it actually isn't.
