No there are two types of teams, one that gets all the VAR decisions and one that doesn’t

Think that’s why they keep showing him in the stadium, to give him an alibi…

Obviously depends on the club that benefits. We don’t matter in the scheme of things…..

VAR has made refs lazy and complacent. They can make a decision without really thinking about it as if it's blatantly wrong, their mates in Stockley Park can take the heat off him by either getting them off the hook or making it look like the ref was right all along. Let's be right about it, no one in the Press was criticising Tim Robinson for the decisions at Wembley last week but they were tearing into VAR like there's no tomorrow!!

You win some you lose some.

Unless you're Barnsley, then you don't count at all.

If you are Barnsley you lose some and then sometimes you actually lose some

Hang on. So the feeling is that when two players last weekend made a genuine attempt to play the ball and one missed and caught his opponent it was a definite penalty.
This weekend the ball, probably accidentally, is handled by the defender and is stopped from traveling into the box is NOT a penalty.
Either they're both technically penalties or they're not.

That hand ( finger tip ) ball yesterday would probably have gone a further 18 inches into the box had it not caught him. There wasn’t a Man Utd player anywhere near that was denied a goal scoring chance.

I am fully convinced that VAR has been brought into this country to influence games of football.

They can’t get it so wrong every week, they know exactly what they’re doing. It can’t be a conspiracy every single game.

They’re laughing at us. Whilst ruining the game we all loved.

I fully agree. Kept the game interesting awarding a soft pen yesterday for Utd. The fact that they don’t let the audience hear the audio either is suspect too in my opinion. It needs transparency and accountability or scrapping.

With the greatest of respect that is totally flawed logic
For a foul where a player is kicked or tripped intention isn’t relevant. There would be very few penalties if intent was relevant it just isn’t
If someone is beaten to the ball and kicks their opponent it’s a foul/penalty

With handball it’s different if a ball hits a hand at close range and there is not a deliberate attempt to play the ball or put an arm in a position to block it deliberately it’s not a foul and play carries on. Unless it leads directly to a goal. It’s literally written in the rules.

    So in yesterdays game
Grealish jumped for the ball and didn’t place his arms for a block. Just in a natural position
When coming down. The ball brushed his fingers almost immediately after being headed. It didn’t even change direction.
No one thinks it’s a pen not even the City players fans or ref. But VAR decides the ref has made a clear and obvious error

In Mondays game Kitching is first to the ball and is kicked hard in the calf by a player who is late it’s a foul. I can understand why the ref missed it but not how the VAR ref can decide the ref didn’t make an error. I’m sure had he been asked to take a look at the replays he would have had no choice but award a pen

Almost everyone in the game thinks VAR got both decisions wrong

And don’t get me started on the difference between Casimeros stamp v Philips being a bit late and clipping a player with his trailing knee

I think a lot of Brighton fans would agree with you.
It’s funny how most “wrong” VAR decisions seem to favour the bigger club

It really is, look at the ‘apologies’ from Howard Webb. It’s a joke.

Said sorry to Brighton against Tottenham and Liverpool. Said sorry to Wolves against Newcastle. Said sorry to Brentford against Arsenal and sorry to West Ham against Chelsea.

There’s clearly a theme going off. It’s never, sorry to Man City against Palace is it? There needs to be some accountability. Big clubs have always believed to been favoured on decisions, but with VAR they’re not even trying to hide it.
