Genuinely haven't watched it back, but I said to my Dad 'that was the chance'. Score that and we win, despite everything.

He'll make amends next season no doubt - have faith.

Honestly think the angle of that shot makes it worse than it actually was at the time. I can’t hold it against him tbh. Had to do the work of 10 men for the majority of the game. Could have been the hero but I won’t make him a villain.

Luca Connell is brilliant and if he can play for us for the next 3 years then we are honoured.
    Enjoy him whilst we can

Picture doesn't even cover where the ball ended up but that lads got so much credit in the bank that it's not a problem, only regret is for him personally.

Don’t know how he had the energy to get there in the first place. It’s a shame that no right footers got forward to support Kitching. From that still, looks like a right foot tap in, and of course a right footer in Thomas’ position would have taken the shot on as well

There’s no one going to be replaying this scenario and wishing it ended up differently than Luca too.

Problem we had was all our players were mentally and Physically exhausted by extra time due to towing their ******** off for most of the second half after being kicked in the guts twice in 5 minutes by the officials. The miss and the poor headed clearance and nobody picking windasses run up for the goal were caused by the exhaustion.

It is not the miss that we shoud be commenting on, but the superb fitness of all our players involved in that move to get in that position and leave the opposition standing, after playing so long with one less men. I thought Luca was amazimg to get there.

And he was right. Connell is a great player. But...

We didn't start playing until we got a man sent off. Connell should have scored. It was a piss easy chance, I'm sorry, but it was. We lost because Wednesday scored a goal and we didn't. Connell didn't miss because we had a man sent off or because we should have had a penalty. He just missed. If he'd scored, we would have won. We had a chance to win and we didn't take it and that's why we lost. It just is. It doesn't mean Connell isn't a great player but that's why we lost.

I think we started playing from the start of the second half. When Norwood came on we upped the tempo and if we had had eleven men on the pitch we would have run them into the ground and beaten them in 90 minutes or 120. We matched them on a hot day pitch side and it was their players cramping up. We’d have got chances like they did and taken one of them.

That image is very deceptive, if you watch the replay the goalkeeper is almost level with the left hand post and has that side of the net covered when Connell shoots.

Easy tap in for a right footed player. For a left footed player with the ball coming across the body there’s much more chance of mistiming contact with it, which he did.
Still don’t get why so many pro footballers are so one footed, especially so with left footed players.
