Does anyone on here know any decent loan companies? I don't want robbing with the high interest rates.
Seems a lot of this on here lately, life's severely getting to a lot of people it seems. A while back when I made my post about being on the edge I got away for a few days (I know, not always possible). When I got back I got in touch with Barnsley IAPT and it kind of helped. Now I feel a bit better. I try my hardest on days off work to get outside, go places and walk all day, even if its just Derwent Res area or going to Newmillerdam for an hour and an ice cream and a pint. Some kind people on here offered me help and support in various ways but I never really took them up on it which maybe I should have done but I'm still in the mindset that I can do this on my own which I kind of am doing but I've always been a bit introverted with people I don't know. I hope you, Stephen Dawson, imer red and any others all the best, truly, its not something I would wish on anyone when you feel so low with no hope. I doubt I'm in a position to help any further than this testimony (for want of a better word), but my Inbox is open
I've got your back pal. As someone a bit more famous than me said , walking is Mintastic, Mintabulous, Mintastic. Keep walking.
Probably worth using the eligibility checker on the loan deals here - https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/loans/cheap-personal-loans/ It's difficult not to be robbed with current rates, it's not a great time to be borrowing.
We need to keep swimming. If someone is going under, we need to reach out. So many of us who were going under are the ones reaching out. We are no better, but someone was there for us. We are now there for others. There is a future, there is hope, but it ain't easy to take help. Take it.
Hi mate, feel free to send me a DM and I can offer some thoughts. I’m not authorised to give official advice on unsecured debt, however I worked for a debt charity for 10 years before being a mortgage broker so I understand credit as well as anything else in life. Happy to give you some tips. The post above directing you to the MSE loan eligibility checker is a good starting point to be honest.
Please tread very carefully with these - certainly take on board comments already posted on the matter, as well as Citizens Advice. From previous posts on here about selling season tickets, please don't think that I'm out of order in suggesting you speak with Gamblers Anonymous too (if that is an issue). They really helped my cousin, who was on a never-ending downward spiral. Good luck.
I know it's a film and not sure how much of it is true, but this country needs more Dave's from the film the Bank of Dave. It does show how the banks strangle competitors but still a good laugh.
I think a few of us have noticed that you have had some financial issues over the past couple of years and was concerned it might be gambling related and wanted to help.
I'm on ESA because of long term mental health problems. I get £401 every 2 weeks. Yeah it may be a lot more than what others get but I have a car & a flat to run on my own. So I don't have a clue where gambling comes into anything?
https://barnsleyfc.org.uk/threads/east-stand-lower.275401/#post-2231305 There's been several occasions (burglary, ceiling caving in, car in ditch) over the past few years where you've posted about stuff that has happened or tried to sell your season ticket and the generous people on here have offered to give you money or stuff such as consoles - I am just concerned that this could potentially be exploiting the kindness of others. Sorry if you are genuine and this comes across as harsh, but can you see how this potentially looks? I'm sure you know what I do for a living so I am only trying to help.
