    Whether there were bad chants against him or not, I just couldn't ever see him wanting to join us. Even if we were in the Premier league and if he was still 10 years younger.
    And as we've said, there's already a better option for us up front in Jimmy Norwood.

    I’m sure he’d do well for us for a season. We don’t have anyone who can finish as well as him. Doesn’t fit our model so I doubt we’d go for him.

    Not sure if he likes us after that incident but I’d definitely welcome him.

    Fair enough then. I never heard anything but if there were a couple then it’s despicable. Every club has a moron or two, I doubt that would influence him considering playing for us.
    Immaterial anyway I imagine as I can’t see us signing a 37 year old.

    Defenders would know they'd been in a game though.
    If he stays fit he'll score 15+ goals for somebody.

    I wouldn’t have an issue with it if he fit our style of play but he clearly doesn’t so it’s a non-starter.

    Norwood’s 5 years younger & can still press. Sharp can’t. I still think he could do a job for plenty of league one clubs but I just can’t see how he fits in at Barnsley & I can’t see Duff changing the style of play to fit round a 37 year old for probably one season.

    Sure I saw an article saying he had held talks with Bradford. Seems a bit unlikely due to wages but tha never knows.

    I'm 52, but would be willing to bring my brazier, placards and donkey jacket to every game. I'd just sit near the subs bench, wave my placard and chant "What do we want?" and the crowd would reply with "3 points and a pay rise". Sorted.

    It's one or other for me mate.. Norwood doesn't last a full 90 and sharps 38 next no way is he, plus wages. He could go back to donny would do well for them.

    Spot on people need to watch how we played last season pressing from the front. 10 years ago maybe for sharp not now.
