Bit harsh, mate. I am sure he was suggesting that we would be delighted with anything north of £3million. Which, by Premier League standards, is 'cheap as chips'.
Could see a championship club taking a punt but premier league? No chance. Not even proven in the championship yet.
As if Devaney would walk into a shop and say this. Heyup love as tha got a bar of Dairy Milk Yeah mate just over there Cheers lass need it cause Andersen is off to Luton
And dunt worry abart keepin it tu thisen lass, it'll be common knowledge soon enough. Tell it to all and sundry, starting wit bbs. Does tha know Granty?
Could see it happening. Luton will struggle to attract players and won't won't to overspend and give big wages and long contracts in the event of them dropping the season after. The repairs on their ground will have already set them back a few quid.
Any old selection boxes in the back with spangles, a nutty bar, a texan bar and some fruit trillions please Margaret? I'll pay you with some deep cover information.
Yep, from Luton’s perspective it would be cheap as chips, probably looking at what? £1.5 - £2m realistically as Mads only has 12 months left, & why would we deny him the chance to play in the premier league?
Not sure what the asking price is for a third division defender is but 2 million for a player with only 1 year on his contract does not seem cheap as chips, hopefully we can keep him, but good luck to the lad what ever he does.
With 12 months in his contract I doubt we'd be able to get more than £1m. As much as we might live him he's no international experience, limited experience at Championship level (approx 100 apps - effectively 2½ seasons) and able to move for nothing within a year. We're not exactly holding the ace hand when it comes to holding out for big money.
If that pans out, then we keep him and let him leave on a free in a year's time, when his stock will hopefully be much higher. Absolute no-brainer.
He is good player at our level and probably in championship but no way a premier league player…..I like the bloke but he’s always got a bollack waiting to happen in him, goid luck to him werever he goes, and we have a pretty good record when it comes to recruiting centre halves so I aint concerned tbh!
Martin’s not the chap to talk about stuff like this in the open. If he did, it could be tongue-in-cheek as a lot of our players have gone to Luton recently, either direct or a few years later. Regardless of that - it’d be a good move. We retain a percentage, which could add up if sold on again.
