    I think that although it looked like he had his arms tucked in to hi body a cheeky little flip of his hand clipped the ball . We never get them though at least not in our favour. Plenty against though. Very harsh to say the least!

    Nah that was the penalty Oldham were awarded against us ... Gunner Halle fell over with not a player withing 5 yards of him :)

    I've never understood why so many in Scotland choose to focus on this rather than the fact that they went on to beat England at Wembley a few months later. Surely the bigger crowing moment would be beating the world champions? Especially as it was the third goal and England went on to score a fourth (yes, I know, without the third there's no guarantee of the fourth).

    Got a wee story RBW
    I almost got to meet Geoff Hurst.
    My mate has a sister who owns a caravan in Weymouth so we had a week there about 20 years ago. Now my mate was in the marines and one of his pals was Stevie Hurst who’s uncle is Geoff.
    We went to visit Stevie in Poole and my mate said if you are lucky Geoff might be visiting. But he didn’t but I still met his nephew.
