People said the same about pinnock, infact many said liam lindsay was the better defender. Although pinnock is alot better on the ball than Anderson I'm not saying he can't eventually play in the premier league, he's improved a hell of alot.

Never understood that Pinnock was always a far better player than Lyndsay. I think he is better than Mads though harder to judge. No idea if Mads is good enough for the Prem but I wouldn’t be surprised if he was

On paper you’d say he wasn’t good enough but plenty would’ve said the same about players like Michael Duff himself & other players from Burnley like Ben Mee & Tarkowski.

Egan & O’Connell looked comfortable in the prem with Sheff Utd as well.

From Luton’s point of view it’s a no lose situation. The fee they’ll pay is a drop in the ocean compared to what they’ll get in revenue & if they do go down he’s proven he’s capable at championship level. He also suits their back 3 system having spent a season playing as the RCB under Val & a season as the middle centre back under Duff.

I think your right I never understood the hype with lindsay thought he was abit over rated by many on here. And I think same django sums it up well don't be surprised to see mads in the prem.

All of those players didn’t jump from L1 to the Premiership though they built up gradually in teams and systems they knew well so the step up was a lot less.

But Andersen has played 3 seasons in the Championship. After a mistake-ridden first season, he played very well in the two subsequent campaigns.

He’s had two excellent seasons in the championship & is a perfect fit for Luton’s system

Yes but he would be joining different players and systems the others didn’t.

I’m not saying he can’t become a PL player I’m saying I don’t think he’s ready yet and would be better equipped playing in a progressive Championship team and going up with them.
Luton IMO would be better going for someone who can hit the ground running.

Three pages of posts debating someone off a ridiculous opening post.

    Well done BBS.

Seems to be truth in it that Andersen is coming to Luton. What is he like, Premier quality?

Hmmmm. Not sure. Not quite Pinnock quality, he has improved a lot in the last season and is perhaps high end championship but does have a mistake in him still.

worth a punt from your perspective and if he continues to develop will be an excellent signing.
    Any idea how much?

    Honestly? No.

I like him but I don't think he's strong/quick enough for that level and he occasionally switches off. He's miles behind where Ethan Pinnock was at a similar age.

Does the basics really well, and come on leaps and bounds in the 4 years he's been here.

Has one major achilles heel which is, he can't deal with balls in behind. Might actually suit the Premier League better where the majority of the football is played on the floor.

Good player, but surprised your are apparently interested. Only that Pete O'Rourke reporting it at the minute, and I'm not convinced he's very reliable.

No where near as good on the ball as pinnock was. But a different type of defender does the basics well come on leaps and bounds. No other prem team bar Luton will be looking at him.

Does the basics well. Don't think he's Premier League quality personally but he wouldn't be the first to raise his game given the opportunity.

Think Mads will make it at a higher level , he had an outstanding season and he’s got the dedication to fitness to do it

That would be a big step up but I full expect him to be in the premier league one day. Probably more in the future though than right away.

With all the Danish links, wouldn’t surprise me if Brentford are in for him as a squad player.
