    Yep, agreed on all fronts there. It's a hope more than anything now like, but let's see what today brings. I think the Club will have to say something today.

    Won’t argue that they are a bigger club but not that much really are they? If Duff stays we are probably in the same league next year and he’s got another promotion on his CV.

    That won't be what he's thinking. He's thinking he gets to manage a Championship Club now, and at the end of next season he could have a PL promotion on his CV

    Can’t see Swansea going up but you never know I suppose. Just don’t know why he’s been rattling on about loyalty, the project, not being here 5 mins, etc. at least with Val we knew he was a mercenary and where we stood. I’m not bitter at all . Anyway he hasn’t gone yet so only time will tell

    Can't believe the vitriol on here when he hasn't even gone yet. Twitter is the best place ever - for getting it wrong. This time last year he was 100% going to Blackpool, a done deal according to Twitter and some on here. Why can't people just wait and see what happens before venting their anger?

    He also said when he left Cheltenham for here.. that these opportunities don't come along every day. So sometimes you have to take em when they appear.So he's just using that same philosophy

    If it's really that low, then that's even more difficult to stomach. £2 million is a pretty serious sum at this level, but less than half of that for the disruption it would cause?

    He's been telling us it's a long term project and then jumped at the 1st opportunity. Can you not understand why that has upset a few people? Because I can. Not to mention its the Swansea job I know you tried to make out its a great number as they have " genuine premier league ambitions" as you said but the Plymouth manager has already knocked it back.
    I'm sad to see him go but not angry I'm abit numb to it all now been a barnsley fan. I can understand people's frustration though.

    Gutted he is going don't get me wrong but I think some on here need a reality check.

    If you worked in an industry where your employers tended to show zero loyalty to you if things aren't going so great and you are offered potentially a lot more money I can guarantee 99% would be off in a heartbeat. Especially if you are not from here.

    He would’ve still gone had we got promotion. It would have made no difference unless any release clause went up in value with being in the Championship.

    I expect our staff and players to leave after no more than 12 months now. I think the more damning indictment is the Plymouth guy not taking the Swansea job.
