I'm not convinced either. If Isted was to return I'm not sure, having been first choice before Isted's arrival last season, that Brad would be content to bench warm. One or t'other but not both.
F him if he's not committed to us when we could have left him with his weekends off as third choice keeper where he was. No loyalty anymore and picking him now means the more than adequate goalie we already had is worth less.
I might be in a minority, but for me, Harry is a much better keeper. I like Brad, but his weaknesses are what Harry seems to thrive at, and for me, the difference is quite evident. Just my opinion like.
Believe me. You are not in the minority. Was Duff. ?. I genuinely (again) have not heard anyone other than some on this board. Who think differently to yourself. Quite a few happy with either. That's a yes. But go with Isted. If given one option. This thing about Isted waiting to see what is happening with Duff. Is interesting. As he may see himself as first choice under Duff either way.
You are not on your own, Isted for me is far in front of Collins although I have never really taken to Collins & can never quite understand why he gets the plaudits he does but it is only my opinion thats all .
Brad Collins is a very good keeper at league one level. Isted is also very good at league one level, I think isteds best game for us was the final. Both have got a **** up in them isted v burton, mk dons and Bolton in the play off semi and his failure to deal with things at the near post and 6 yard box is his weakness.
This is what surprises me. At matches when almost every shot on target resulted in a goal against us the fans around me were pretty much all slagging Collins off. At half time it was '******* hell Collins again' and 'its time we dropped Collins and gave Walton a chance'. At full time walking across the carpark it was the same. Then come on here and read people's views and you'd think Collins had just pulled off 10 or 11 worldies in the game. Then we signed Isted and EVERYONE I've heard in person has said he's been outstanding. Come on here and apparently he's not reyt good and Collins was in amazing form when he was dropped I genuinely don't understand how people on here can have such a polar opposite view of anyone I've seen and heard at the ground
I’d love it if Isted signs, however, there are other positions that need strengthening as more of a priority. Defence if Mads goes I think we need 1 or 2 Midfield I think we’re ok Attack we need someone If Isted doesn’t sign we have a very good keeper in Collins and would need someone to be decent competition for him
