MD to Khaled. Hey bud, was going to turn down Swansea's approach but just seen a thread on the BBS naming my replacement, so **** it I'm off
The two names which came to my mind first (well, the second one today only) are Nathan Jones (who could sign back some of those Reds' players from Luton) and Gary O'Neill, who is clearly, like Duff, a good man manager and has been really hard done by in being pushed out of Bournemouth for a manager the Cherries have clearly had earmarked for a while.
If Duff has gone then we should immediately offer the job to Devaney. He's been associated with the club for almost 20 years so he's invested in it and he's been very successful with the young uns. It's a no-brainer for me.
Devaney for me, nice and simple. No names about that we could afford who'd do a better job, keep the continuity, so don't bother looking just name him the day after Duff legs it, if he wants it. If Duff takes him, I'll seriously have to fall art wi the both of them.
Folk suggesting Dave Challinor might as well suggest Pep. He'll be on a wedge at County, they and Wrexham are the City of the lesser leagues with the cash they are throwing at it, if we keep losing managers every season, Stockport will probably be in the Championship before we are.
This was going so well until the twist, it’s so funny I’m not going to give it away. Do yourself a favour and read this. But don’t skip to the end…. https://footballleagueworld.co.uk/b...-if-managerial-interest-materialises-opinion/
In fairness I used to write fan articles for Football League World so it’s not exactly professional journalism.
