    Again I don’t mind it being there but it needs to be genuinely substantial and I wouldn’t even mind if the head coach was rewarded as part of it being activated or a loyalty payment for each season so it rewards both parties. Hopefully it was way more than 500k but if it wasn’t then we have messed up again really.

    I get what you're saying mate, but it might be a case of having that clause for that amount in the contract, or no deal. Apparently that was the case for Ricardo Vaz Te.

    Could well be - he was in demand at the time. makes a complete mockery of his comments about it being long term project and not here for 5 minutes if he demanded a 500k release clause
