Same here.If losing a manager affected me like it does some people i would come to the conclusion watching Barnsley is not for me.
Last season I was beginning to get excited for the future with the changes taking place but now I feel sad as we all knew what a gem of a manager we had in Micheal Duff and I for one would take been relegated if it meant we had him in charge. Now it seems as though we will be dismantling our management team which will delight our competitors in the division so much for us trying to ensure that we do not go belly up this season. The touted managers really do not get me excited for the future as we will no doubt go for the cheaper option available. Come on Barnsley board make a decision that will excite the supporters. The ball is in your court …..
I think part of the issue is that hw actually didn't form an attachment to the club or the community. He did at Cheltenham and Burnley probably because no one cane in for him. journeyman 1 club man. I've been his number 1 fan but always got the unsettling feeling that he never had a true affinity with us fans. Logically this then translates to hon not giving a flying fu1k about leaving. Michael Duff lives Cheltenham an Burnley and I can see him being successful at Swansea and he'll love them but Barnsley?...deep down.....he don't really give a **** about this club.
How does being a 1 club man make him a journeyman? Isn't that literally the opposite of his playing career?
And this time next year our new manager will be gone (one way or another). So you'll have to crank up the childish name-calling all over again!
