I've been stalking Kylie for many a long year now, but I've decided to replace her with a younger model... Catch Maisie Peters set on the iPlayer. Lovely lungs.
Just switched on so heard Goodbye Yellow Brick Road. He's got a good back catalogue and for nostalgia it's OK. Just can't sing as well as he used to like is the same for McCartney, Jagger, Stewart, and many more that lose their vocals with age. Very few like Tom Jones still sing as well now as they did 30-40 years ago.
Not this then. Quote It's the year of headliners who can no longer sing. Tomorrow night when Elt is murdering his own songs, he will be giving Alex and Axl a run for their money.
Yeah his voice is shot I stand by it. He knows it with his backing guy and all his special guests. Go on You Tube and compare him singing songs tonight compared to 70s and 80s. His voice nowadays is nothing like as good.
Well, he sounds good to me. Have.you ever watched anyone live? They never sound like the record. Talk about hyper critical.
It definitely isn't shot. Not sure what you're listening to. Obviously not as good as it was 40 years ago. He's now a 76-year old man. There aren't many notes he isn't hitting though. I'd say he's a lot of vocal training to prepare for this, and it's paying off. Massively better than I was expecting.
Elton sounds better then Axl did yesterday that's for sure, I think though his range is not as demanding as Axl who had one of the wider ranges (6 octaves), so its never going to be easy to re-produce live even at your best.
From what I've seen Cat Stevens for his age too has been top...I'm enjoying Elton but you can feel his vocals lessen with age...still all good though
I think his vocals have been absolutely amazing. Still hitting most of the top end. If you've ever tried to sing live even doing karaoke you'll know how difficult it is to even sound halfway decent, especially over the course of a couple of hours. And that's before we even move on to how tough it is to sing while playing an instrument at the same time. If you want to hear someone whose voice really is shot, listen to Madonna singing live. Painful.
