That’s pretty unlucky, survive World War One, survive the Spanish Flu epidemic, killed by a shark off the East Riding coast. Probably a Barnsley fan “I’ll just go for a swim before I check the football results and confirm our promotion to the First Division”.
Ah ok, makes sense. Swimming in a beautiful pristine freshwater lake without that fear though is just the best sensation. I got stung by a jellyfish in Marseille last summer. Felt like when you catch your arm on an oven shelf. Ouch. And then a kindly french lady watching insisted I should rub shail into it.
The Cameron Robbins case recently is quite the mystery. 18 year old lad jumped off a booze cruise in the Bahamas in the middle of the night apparently after a dare. A video shows him trying to swim back to the boat before seemingly turning away and swimming away from the boat and disappearing forever. Two theories exist. One is that it was simply the current dragging him away from the boat, the other is that he saw a shark and tried to swim away before being dragged under and eaten. Grainy video footage shows what is either a shark near him and then grabbing his foot or simply splashing of water from his swimming.
