Aber -(easy to pronounce) - ta (as pronounced in TAr) we (as pronounced in WEt) Following the Act of Union of England and Wales in 1536 the English Government set out to eradicate the Welsh language and culture. Place names were Anglicized - Welsh was forbidden in schools - any child speaking Welsh caned - all official business done in English. Welsh regarded as the language of the peasants. (compare with what the English did/doing in the Six Counties of Northern Ireland.) With the establishing of the Welsh Assembly legislation passed to ensure the Welsh Language was preserved and used - only became an official language 12 years ago My sister works as a Welsh Language Tutor for her local mid-Wales council - all local government workers have to have a basic knowledge of Welsh. Back to 'Abertawe' in time it will be known as 'Abertawe' - 'Swansea' will be dropped. Moves to rename Snowdon by it's original name - 'Wyddfa' etc etc. Apologies for fkn banging on about Cymru again - to get back to more serious stuff - COYR.
It's this new era of silence that concerns me. Fans deserve no comment for the week we all knew Duff was gone and also no comment on who's taking training, who's at training........images as clear as a Japanese porn film......or how the search for a new boss in going. PR from the club close season is dismal.
Nailed on Devaney now I think with Paterson going. Not what I think we need at this moment but I’ve been proven wrong many times before.
It does look that way doesn't it? If he's staying that suggests he's either taking the top job, announcement delayed by his holiday, or that the new head coach has agreed to keep him on. Announcement tomorrow? Or does 2+2=5?
Could be none of the above. Paterson came with Duff, so was always likely to leave with him. Not going to read much into Devaney not leaving, given he was at the club long before Duff.
I'm not keen to be honest, as much as I like and admire Martin Devvo!. Whether it's relevant or not, he didn't do himself any favours when he briefly took charge, at the end of the appalling relegation season. Daz Moore still seems to be a good idea here, for me, when you look at the list of options.
I'm pretty sure that Devaney will stay as first team assistant to any new coach. This helps with continuity and helping the new coach settle in. Devaney will be BFC coach one day but maybe not just yet.
Is that Saudi or Egypt? Devaneys either joining Gerrard or Robbie Keane then.......u heard it here first.......
Agree and also maybe Duff didn’t want him to go to Swansea anyway, as you say their paths only crossed because Devaney already here
