Martin Devaney is a lovely guy and great custodian for the club. He's a great u23s coach and assistant but he's no experience managing...we need Darren Moore who knows the division, our players, ex red, successful with every club managed...Have Devaney coaching with him...This year we have to get promoted...Moore is a better guarantee than gambling on Devaney...

I agree, he would be very far down on my list. Rather have Mick McCarthy….

I don’t want him either, the car crash of those last few performances the season we went down was enough.. (regardless of the side that was out out!)

Darren Moore’s Red and White army……

Darren Moore does not coach his teams to play football in a style that the board want to us to play. How we play at all levels throughout the cub. We employ managers who press the opposition high up the field. We sign players for this style of football. As much as I like Darren Moore I'd be surprised if the board have considered him for even a second. It would be like hiring a Pizza chef to run the kitchen in your Indian Restaurant.

Depends how skint we are if we're skint Martin gets the job. If we have abit of ambition we go for Moore.

I have a feeling the board/calamity K were expecting a more universal agreement with the fans in regards to Devaney becoming head coach so that it could have been a win win situation for them.

They could state early on that moves were well under way for a new head coach and it would be a relatively cheap option with the fans well onside.

The fact that the general consensus is a 'no' with most fans, has really got them scratching their heads.

Really don't agree with this at all. I wouldn't be opposed to Moore, infact I'd drive him here after seeing other managers linked. But just because we may hire Devaney means nothing. As Jay says above, we try play a certain way & there's no doubt in my mind the club want to promote coaches & coaching staff up through ranks too, as we do with the youth players

If it was going to be Daveney, then why not anounce it on confirmation Duff had left. I'm sure he would have come bsck off holiday for that.

Surely he has to be interviewed, along with other applicants? Even if you’re fairly sure who want to take the role you interview others. Belts and braces, make sure you’re doing the right thing.

I wish the Earth was flat & Captain Beefheart returned to Earth with Sun Ra to headline Glastonbury.

Then all wars would end & NATO was disbanded.

Finally for "I Should Be So Lucky", by Kylie be covered by System of a Down for the Welsh Tourist Board.

Hecky took over on a 8 game winning run and the club already in the jpt final. Not on a massive downer.

So what you're saying is that they'd provisionally decided on Devaney, but decided to take a peek at the BBS before sealing the deal. And then, when they saw that Stephen Dawson, Calamity Sam and a few others weren't very happy about the appointment, they decided to hang fire?

Again I don’t think it’s the appointment we need but I’ve been proved wrong before if it turns out to be the case this time also great. On the balance of probabilities hiring a member of the coaching team to then become head coach with an expectation of doing well seems beyond the realms of being logical to me but hey ho.
