Food and drink can be ordered on app rather by queuing at bars. Our away kit will be stars and stripes themed. The goal netting will be red instead of white.
Is this a politician's answer or did you genuinely misread indie's question? if it's the former, it doesn’t suit you.
Swansea City ……..Championship……Bigger Club Significant bigger wage packet Significant bigger transfer budget Pushing for top end of Championship Yet ppl want to believe and post rumours that Duff has left because Khaled wanted to play Football Manager and pick the team himself whilst only allowing the U18s to play and give the new man hardly any money to spend. Come on……seriously???? I’ll tell you what…..if all that’s true then I’ll throw my season ticket away and apologise before a ball is kicked. I bet you I keep my ticket and go to every game. I have to admit tho that the silence is frustrating but the board have been brilliant at keeping this “all in house”. No journos or serious ppl “ITK” have posted a thing with anything credible. I think that’s why we have to make a lot of things up as there’s actually nothing out there in the domain.
Apart from a team coming up...Who in their right mind would want to 'consolidate in this division'...the bloody ale house league?
With Collins Kitchen Cadden Wiiliams Philips Connell Kane Norwood and Cole we have the strongest team in the league by far, with the rest of the squad a few loans and a couple of signings why would we consolidate, it's nonsense and we are going up.
I think your mate chats ****. Let's just say stuff he's saying is true....If our CEO thinks the way to go one better than last season is to sell half our first team regulars and replace them with our academy lads, then he should be following the rest out the door. If we are still skint after millions have only just been pumped in a few short months ago, 9k season ticket sales, Duff compo, Patterson compo, supposedly some Stones cash from Everton, Mads expected to be leaving, promotion clauses possibly for Cauley, Carlton etc and out cut of 3 play off matches, then we need someone new in charge of club accounts.
I see the same thing at work. I work in pensions and we get members of the scheme coming in to see us telling us that they've spoken to someone in their local pub who knows about pensions and this guy has told them all about what they can do with their pension. It's all b0ll0cks obviously and we have to explain the actual position to them. But despite our version being the truth they still want to believe the guy in the pub because his version is more interesting. And that's the situation we have now. The fact is Duff left for what he viewed as a better job. His mate has chosen to follow him. But that's dull, boring and doesn't allow folk to get riled. So instead we have to have rumours that the squad will be supplemented by the youth team and JAQ will be picking the line up using names out of a hat - if that means three keepers in the starting eleven then it's fine because it fits the board's way of working.
Last years sales and cash injection will have just about seen the club through last season. Without sales/cash from the owners the club is looking at a shortfall of around £4- 5m this year. That is the harsh reality of running a league one club.
Same old story and always will be. Khaleds big statement was to sell season tickets. We want a new coach/manager but it will be last minute as usual, i mean for God's sake first pre season match is Saturday. New bloke should be in now, the board always crack off they are prepared for every eventuality, who do they think they are kidding
The size of the thread and the comments simply illustrate there’s still a lot of mistrust between the Owners and the Fans. That’s not so surprising is it. That distrust was built up over a lot of seasons - and with good reason. Losing Duff wasn’t brilliant but he got a far better offer than we could ever give him, so not the greatest of surprises. The ‘new’ owners have said ‘judge us by our actions’. I think that’s fair enough. Last season is something to build on. Let’s see them build on it.
Christ, less than 4 weeks ago we were a whisker away from promotion back to the Championship at the first time of asking. We had a core squad as good as anything in L1 with the best manager we’d seen in years. All of a sudden, despite selling 9k season tickets, we’re back staring at the abyss. Or that’s how it seems. If only someone at the club would come out and give us at least a bit of encouraging news. Only at Barnsley FC……
I don’t think you can really blame Khaled for Duff rejecting a new contract and jumping ship at the first chance. It’s been a matter of days since he did a runner. Would you rather the Club take 3 days to get the wrong person in, or 10 days to get the right one?
