    Could it be that the salary for a division one coach is low & that for the championship it is much higher , just playing devils advocate as I havn"t a clue but with Moore having managed in the championship before he will be well aware of the going rate especially as you would expect one of the biggest clubs in the world to be paying out MASSIVE wages !!

    I've just been speaking to a (Reasonable) Wednesday fan about this. A number of points not believed, but a 400% rise seems extremely unbelievable.

    There's probably a modicum of truth in there but not much.
    The owner is not well liked in football genrally.... however he goes about his work with his own best intentions.
    When he has left these shores the owls will realise they are better off.

    Exactly mate. This coming from a guy who, despite his unpopularity, chose to splash his name on the seats of Hillsborough, hiked prices and came up with all kinds of crazy schemes. But people are expected to take his word as final over a reasonable bloke like Moore. Hmm.

    At least it takes a bit of pressure off our horrendous kit release.

    I do like how he starts the statement with an agreement they had not to talk. Then proceeds to hammer Moore in public.

    He’s one strange guy, don’t think this will do them any favours in a search for a new manager if he’s airing this kind of statement.

    Someone actually told me something similar last week, so maybe there's some truth to it. I can't see its as much as 400% though, unless he was on peanuts before, which I doubt.

    Both are entirely plausible at each level.

    lt was meant to be illustrative. Wednesday have a salary roll of £20m (2021). Given they received £6m compensation for Steve Bruce would suggest they paid him well over £20k per week.
