Still reckon Billy Sharp player manager with an experienced coach to help him and Disco as assistants. Odds were 33/1 moved to 12s but can't remember which bookies. It was early this morning.
I've just seen something and wanted to put a £10 punt on it. But the guys name isn't on any current odds lists. But before I explain my logic, wanted to get my bet on haha.
Betvictor, Pari Match. But after further research I have discounted the bloke. It was a massive long shot anyway but I saw on Sky News that Forfar had agreed to let their manager Ray McKinnon speak to an EFL club. So I looked at which EFL clubs don't have a manager. Leeds, The Pigs, Barnsley.. My initial thinking was that no way would the other 2 go off piste like that so thought it might have been us. But on further digging, it looks as though Duncan Ferguson is trying to get him on his coaching staff at FGR rather than him moving to another head coach job. So not throwing a £10 free bet at that one now!
Hard to know how good/bad Nathan Jones really is. He obviously did brilliantly for us at Luton and I actually really liked him. His interviews were always interesting, quite funny and honest, he is passionate guy and wears it his sleeve. He was good at identifying signings and getting the best out of players. He was supported by a brilliant board and club set up. When he went to Stoke we brought in Graeme Jones and he struggled. Clearly at Stoke and Southampton he struggled but little more than the managers before or after him. So if Challinor or Wilder don't come in for you get on the Nathan Jones roller coaster and enjoy the ride
