Haven’t watched for a while …. been cutting lawn… doh.
Sounds like it’s been entertaining though.
We’re 250 for 4 so it’s not too bad a position to be in.
Also,Lyon’s crocked, so it’s still open

Was it though? Only seen the still photos but looks a bit dubious to me!

Crazy tactics for me when Aussies retorted to constant short pitched bowling. Pope, Root (twice) and Duckett all threw their wickets away when traps were clearly set.
Bazball or not it was crackers and let the Aussies back into the game, especially with Lyon taking no more part.
Said it before, if you have the Aussies by the throat you do not let go.

There’s positive cricket and then there’s stupid cricket. Match very even though after 2 days, the aussies however will know now how to get into us.

There’s been both positivity and stupidity by England but we are now in a much better position than yesterday when they were 300/3.
It is very even now as you say so rock on tomorrow… can’t wait

Love a Sydney Morning Herald article. They are comparing what's happened to Lyon to McGrath in 2005. Big statement is that. I hope he's OK because i'd prefer both teams at as full strength as possible. For the third test if Lyon is indeed out I can see them bringing in Marcus Harris. I suppose they could do what we've done and go all seamers by bringing Boland back, but it's not likely. What I said yesterday about dropping Boland on a green pitch for Starc is showing now.

What the flip are they on about?

They briefly throw it in about us losing Leach but we haven’t whinged on about it.
They’re one up in the series for gods sake

todd Murphy is the reserve spinner. Marcus Harris is an opening bat.

murphy has looked pretty decent but has only played on turning wickets at test level so far

Having seen the video I think it's not out. He's not in control of the ball until he rolls on his back and the ball clearly hits the ground before that point.

there’s a difference in the ball touching the grass and the ball touching the ground, in this instance I think it’s probably out as he had it under enough control especially when it touched the grass

I thought that yesterday. There seems to be a distinct loss of control where his fingers are round it but the ball is on the ground until he flips over and claims the catch. Yet another reason, for me, to dislike this player. Clear case of cheating.

Smith shouldn’t even be playing international cricket after what he did.
He was a great role model as captain of your country wasn’t he !!!!!

There’s a very fine line between madness and genius, last nights batting could be classed as either depending on how the wind blows… it will be interesting to see what they do as I’ve a feeling we won’t change. More short stuff.. more happy hooking… more talking points!

Let’s hope we can somehow get near 500

I didn't see last night as Bazball.

Bazball is about creating chaos and forcing the opposition to change their tactics.

Last night we fell into their very obvious plan.

They should have ignored them, made them change their plans.

Exactly that, we just did exactly what they wanted us to do. And given Lyon was injured, they wouldn't have been able to persist with the short ball theory for long, as they'll need to do longer spells.

Stokes shouldn't be anywhere near this team. Waste of a place and got the decision making capability of Paul Conway

Extremely harsh. He took over a team that had barely won a game in ages. Then won something like 9 out of 10 tests

Harsh for a captain with the win ratio he has.
