That’s it. Another round neck, white trim t shirt. Same as all the others. Lazy design, unimaginative, unflattering, uncomfortable horrible choking round neck.

I’m with JAQ on this one.

Lazy design? A brand is about consistency.

Lazy design is changing things for the sake of it - which weakens the brand to the point it no longer exists as a brand.

Big brands are consistent year after year. BMW, Nike, Guinness.

It's mainly red. It has the brand logo on it. They play football in it.

Feels a pretty consistent brand to me.

Why can't we have the 18/19 shirt again but longer fitting to go over the weight gained during George's incubation?

I could design what Nike comes out with. T shirt with minor alteration year on year. No imagination.
Also very little concern for the and shape of people wearing replica shirts. Round necks are the least flattering shape for every figure and actually horrible to play in. Yet every season the same thing with a minor alteration.

    Mainly red... but not red.

Try the BMW logo with a yellow bit in it. Mainly blue and white. Same thing surely?

    Nice shirt that.

A side that plays in red has a red home shirt.

It’s not a shirt for extroverts like Barnsley fans , I’m hoping for a feather boa collar on our next shirt with sequins

Think we needed to just move to a new kit supplier. Puma shirts have been boring for years due to to loads of clubs using similar templates. This years home kit doesn’t make me feel any different.

You're confusing a brand logo with what the logo goes on. The badge that represents the brand is there. It's on a shirt that is - to Barnsley fans - instantly recognisable as a Barnsley shirt. With the media it's generated today, it'll be recognisable to many more people than just Reds fans.

Feels like pretty good brand and marketing to me.

Maybe so but it’s not going to get anyone else other than Barnsley fans to buy it regardless of the number of people who might have commented on it.

Good point. It's like the Ferrari formula one team having a car that looks mostly white. It's got the same badge on right?

I think the new kits are many things, but certainly not boring

    Really?

I would have said the identity of our team is ‘red.’ It’s just a guess, but I’m going on the chant of ‘COME ON YOU REDS!’

Given the new shirt I look forward to… “COME ON YOU MAINLY REDS BUT WE’VE GONE A BIT FADEY INTO WHITE BECAUSE IT LOOKS A BIT DIFFERENT ALTHOUGH THE SHORTS MAKE UP FOR IT REDS.”

If its really about 'generating media' them why not play in shirts smeared in *****? That would get us recognised.

You don’t think we’ll be able to sing “come on you reds” next season because of that kit?

See I don't see it as anything else other than a modern take on one of our most (in)famous historic kits, which due to West Stand Bogs has taken on cult status in the last couple of years
