    Be great if it was' top manager at this level and i'd imagine the lads would want to play under him ' some of the potential leavers may end up staying..

    Wouldn’t be the worst option.

    But I can’t see him taking it, it’s a risk for him. He can fail at Boro, Watford and still be a good appointment in the champ. Fail at Barnsley in league one, nobody is touching him again.

    Flip side, get us promoted and the first bit of interest he can leave the next day.

    If this is in fact true, then I would be more than happy with his appointment. Would be a statement of intent by the board, however I will contain my excitement until anything is confirmed

    I've just heard the same... From someone who doesn't tend to trade in rumors. Sounds like Wilder wanted it and we didn't have to do much persuading. No imminent announcement expected mind.
