    Without trawlin through this thread has anything been said about why it so long till it’s available ? Launched 29th June to not be available till August is shocking and I’ve never known it like that. That said we probably won’t have a manager by then.
    I don’t want them to leak names or owt but there’s been naff all about interviewing or whether they are even arsed to start the recruitment process, if it’s Disco so be it.

    Every comment I can see on tiktok that isn't simply "that's horrific" is calling us "US FC" or saying "Barnsley are an mls team now".

    I feel that we are being systematically stripped of our identity because of patriotism from the Americans who own us and imo it's just wrong.

    Yes she did and I can see why. The stars on the shirt could be assumed to link in with the US mobile logo therefore going beyond the usual sponsorship logo limits.

    Load of rubbish we will always be Barnsley FC let other fans say what they want ,look at Man U, City etc fans in most of world they haven't been called US FC. Best not to go on tiktok if it upsets you so much.

    I remember liking the '88 season Lyons Cakes 'Liverpool' style all red kit. Which was controversial because it was a big change to the usual red n white design.
    I thought at the time, I'd like to see more of the all red again in future, and its never been done since then!.
    And the blue kit was the 2nd kit wasn't it, for when we met Stoke (red n white stripes) in the Lg and Fa cup.

    It’s a remake of one of our own shirts from years ago. How can it not be Barnsley when it’s replicating a Barnsley shirt that was unique to us at the time and since?

    Combined with thengiant American eagle sponsor I don't think it's an attempt to replicate our old kit, I think that's the excuse used to Americanise the kit. It couldn't get any more American if it had a couple of guns on the front

    Of course it’s combined with our sponsor’s logo; every football shirt has their sponsor on the front. We weren’t going to be able to put Shaw’s Carpets on the front. It has all the elements of the old Barnsley kit it’s replicating: same number of stars in same positions in the same size, our club crest (now central), our front of shirt sponsor, red top with white part (now a fade rather pure white but same length of shirt). What are the American bits that are different to the original (apart from the logo which is just our current sponsor who is American so it’s not a surprise that their logo is American)?
