    Finding it hard to believe this is happening ... on the one hand we have a semi anonymous source with some connection to the club saying it is, on the other, all those journo's with connections to players staff etc. who haven't even mentioned it as a rumour :( Can't remember off hand the number of times an appointment has been made before there were any reports of it, but I think it is pretty close to zero.

    P.S. Not having a go at the OP, presume the info was passed on in good faith.

    There’s been no rumours or any names mentioned from any journalists apart from the young kid who says it’s Devaneys, but if so why hasn’t it been announced? What the hell is going on? The silence is deafening, hopefully some news imminently

    But it hasn't been 9 days. Rumours of an approach started circling a week before it was announced he had left. So the club knowing that Duff was going should have set the process in motion to get someone in ASAP.

    You could go even further back as Duff in his own words knew of interest before the play offs whether the club knew is a different matter

    The board probably had a bit more credibility, than to start tapping other coaches up while Duff was still in control.
    Even though they knew he was talking to other clubs.

    what is mystifying for me , is the overall silence from everywhere, media , club, just everywhere.
    There is usually someone who blabs and it turns out to be true, maybe it's because we are after someone already unemployed so the is no chance of a 'leak' from another club, but this time it's been weird.

    Totally agree. There are no leaks anywhere which is very weird in this day and age. The fact the bookies have not reopened the market says there is something going on. I just don't know what
