Not really, it's very common in football to put the feelers outs. Not necessarily make an approach but you get a feel if someone is interested or not
But when Dennis Smith went odds on last week, Within a couple of hours Rob Staton at Radio Sheff had rubbished it saying Wednesday hadn't spoken to him. Not saying Wilder is true.. no idea, but nobodys rubbished it and now two days after going odds on. I'm still in the.. theres sumert init camp
You may be right but if thats so, then because of the time diffrence between Duff going and Devaney always been available.. i'd say one or two have said no thanks
I agree. If Disco gets it - and it’s still quite possible he might - then for me that says at least one other preferred candidate has been in negotiation but turned it down
Im just about beyond caring now. Constant rumour, speculation, gossip from every man and his dog (including me). I'd just like something from the board now re: what is actually happening even if it's just 'We are still pursuing options but have not finalised anything yet'.
I would be very surprised if it’s Wilder. We’re not looking in the ‘Wilder’ bracket. He would be an awesome appointment but I don’t expect it. I will say I also don’t expect a foreign PE teacher to come in either. I expect it to be someone who’s young in coaching years and managed in the EFL recently. I thought Martin Paterson would have a shoe in but it’s clear we’re looking external.
