    Won their young player of year. Can't say it's a great signing obviously as I've never seen or heard of him, but it'll be an extremely low risk, cheap signing and you never know. Chris Smalling, Jamie Vardy, Michail Antonio, Marc Roberts & plenty of others all got poached from non league

    Don't think the club are making the signing out to be anything big but great to see a fairly local lad getting a chance other then through the academy system.

    Ponty signed him from Penistone Church a couple of years ago, anyone remember him turning out for them at all?

    Nice for a young local lad to be given a shot, as has been said.

    Why haven’t the club confirmed this yet? Believe Pontefract had put a statement out and their manager wrote something about the lad on Twitter but they’ve both since been deleted.
