This is a genuinely true interview story.
I was back packing in Europe and had asked for a job on a sailing yacht. At the interview the owner asked what I knew about yachts. I answered that I knew the pointed end went to the front.
    “You’re in!” He said.

At my first.ever interview the guy interviewing me asked if I played cricket. I said yes as I played in the school team. I got the job and it turned out he was captain of the works cricket team. Don't know whether that swayed it but I thought it was a strange question to ask at the time.

Did you get to play in the works cricket team? Wouldn't be able to ask that question nowadays.

Apparently I got my first proper job because they liked my answer to a question about stress in the workplace (I was replacing someone who started then quit through stress) - I just told them about when I was a glass collector in Silvers and how stressful it was at 9-10pm on a Saturday night when the bar was 5 deep and there were no glasses to serve them with...

Imagine being asked if you played pocket billiards? That's not something I'd like to team up in.

Half this board is moaning about being unable to retain managers more than one season. Devaney is probably the one viable option who wouldn't demand a release clause but mostly the same people will then moan about a lack of ambition.
There is zero evidence the Board are doing things on the cheap. On the contrary they come across as more committed and invested in the club than any Board in quite a while both in terms of money invested and time and enthusiasm spent.
FFS I do hope they announce soon just to stop the constant whining.

Yes, forgot to add that at the end.
My mate had an even stranger interview for his job. He'd put on the form that he enjoyed watching football and that he was a Barnsley season ticket holder. The chap interviewing finished off by saying, " You're a Barnsley season ticket holder aren't you?" My mate responded with "Yes" to which the chap replied "When can you start?"

    I'm stumped!

Edit: Sorry - forgot there was already a stump joke. I should know my boundaries
Edit2: Forgot the boundary joke as well. I should just give over!

Daughter - first question at her interview to become a physio was did she follow BFC - she's a ST holder - guy interviewing her also a BFC supporter. Think all they did at interview was 'talk-football' - she got in! - the only one with B-Tec qualification - others had 'A' levels. Think her interest in football helped a bit.
Now fully qualified she finds 'talking-football' with patients often helps break the ice.
