    Time will tell I left Wembley thinking that’s okay we’ll **** the league next season, my expectations are now massively different! Same old Barnsley.
    I do wonder what’s the point 2 steps forward 5 back every couple of years completely rebuilding it’s so disheartening.
    I’ll remain a smidge of optimism given we still have the big exciting news, that should encourage people to get season tickets!!!
    It better come quickly the season starts in 4 weeks.

    Agree … just pointing out that he’s not really a top signing or a “ 4th choice random “.
    Perhaps he will be a 2nd choice safety back up ?

    I got my time line slightly mixed up (not that it matters really), either way, we're due to make an appointment less than 2 weeks after Duff officially left, weird thing to bash the club over.

    Regardless of anyone's opinion of local media outlets, it would be uncharacteristic of the Yorkshire Post to suggest it could be announced before the weekend, if they didn't believe it to be true. I can only assume it's someone within the club who has let them know, albeit admittedly, they don't say in the article. The hushed nature of it all leads me to believe it's not a manager currently in a job, or Martin Devaney.

    Tinpot is ending up cheating your way through the back door to get promoted, after going half a season unbeaten, having a 40k a week player in the team and having about 15 senior strikers in the squad. I'd rather be a Barnsley fan

    They aren’t so much chucking their teddies out the pram as beating each other over the head with them, one of them published his stats

    (He's had 5 clubs now since August 2020 and been sacked by 3 of them, average time at a club of under 6 months.)

    It’s now civil war :p
