My dad actually got El Haimour printed on his shirt the year he signed. I went with a mate to a pre season game that he played in vs Rotherham I believe and he looked decent and I told my dad and he got it printed thinking he'd be good. Pretty sure he'll have been the only fan around with that name set on his shirt
That’s a good shout.. Couldn’t remember his name & didn’t want to call him bog brush.. On loan with us. Chris Wood did nowt, except make a bit more laundry for the kit man..
Based on actual performances whilst in the loan spell with us: Steele Trippier - Thomas - Long - Dickinson Brownhill - Redfearn - James Nardiello - Dike - Barnes
Was trying to think of the loanee who never played (good song title Mr C?). Initially thought of Pirri then Peter Sand, but both played for us. Then it came to me - Fumaca! Had 8 English clubs (5 loans and 3 trials) in the 98/99 season. Didn't play a single game for the reds, played a few for Newcastle before heading back to Brazil. Strange signing! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fumaça_(footballer,_born_1976)
Chris's Lumsden was superb when he was on loan, signed for us and was absolutely gash. I went to Stockport lost 4 1 Hursty ex red got a Brace. I told lummy that he had a heart as big as pea. He come over and told me to **** off. Bless him.
Brian McCord was another one like that. Pretty sure Derby sent us a different bloke when he signed permanently.
He was all right for a while. Scored winner away Notts County early on That 1st season permanent we almost make playoffs under Machin Was downhill for him after that
