I think Zazlos is secretly Gally in disguise and he's been trolling everyone for years. Have you ever seen them in the same room at the same time? I havent

I couldn't give a flying f@@k to be honest who goes, im just bored this evening and winding up those types who attend and defend those running the club to the hilt at every given chance and going by the 3 who've chirped straight up it's not hard

Toodles got things to do now

Firstly the meeting you refer to. Involved Jay taking a different view. Which to be fair to him. He was right in hindsight so interpretation is an issue .
But not as big an issue as the spin put out by those not present that want put out their own version. Gally normally takes the minutes. But was unavailable. The club rep was taking notes. i personally missed the first half hr. Which revolved around where we were at re manager and the issue with Duff. Maybe Red

So i wasn't prepared to put out. Any 2nd hand information and the announcement next day. Which nobody in the audience were aware of happening basically negated a comment.
The questions I asked involved the organisation of the independents. Travel groups. And fans in respect of next season

I dont know why it was a late invitation. I assume they wanted to get a meeting in at the earliest opportunity available. As you know and as everyone should do. Gally allus asks for questions In advance and reports back to the BBS. But wasn't available. Loko wasn't present either that I could see. I Step in if I can to provide information missed or not forthcoming.

As for rotation it's already there if needed. never been specific persons. They contact the lead person of that group and it is down to that group who attends on their behalf I have taken fans and committee members, also had my place taken when unavailable or if someone wants to fill my place. And whoever attends can invite a.n. other it doesn't have to be a member of that group.

Not that many meetings take place and there are no secret ones, whatever folk think.

That last week (termed fan engagement) and I'll stand corrected was the 3rd since covid, hardly a secret society.

That's right. MOMO is a step further. Mystery Of Missing Out - kind of like FOMO only you're not actually sure what it is you're missing out on.

Is that actually a serious comment? Do you want to sit down for an hour and have a good think using facts and logic and stuff and see if you come up with the same answer?

So you're just a pathetic troll then and one who can't be arsed to even try to understand the actual facts and issues relating to the club.
I thought trolls got banned on here but I guess you're safe because Gally feels like he can't ban someone who's attacked him directly.

I do agree with your first point about the comms around this. It could/should have been better. Not the clubs fault, the fan reps should be disseminating the info. I usually ask for questions and I usually write a report. I already had something lined up in London and other things going on I didn't get someone else to represent and update the forum. Happy for you to attend the next one and do that though? There are plenty of minutes of these meetings on this forum. On the subject of the twitter updates from Matchday Drinkers you mentioned, I've definitely seen times where the 280 character twitter limitation has meant the nuance of discussion is not fully reflected. Fair play to Paul though, he always reports on the meetings. I think streaming would result in a more guarded conversation and wouldn't be much different to what's posted in a Radio Sheffield interview at that point. Maybe the answer is an official set of minutes and being a bit more organised from the fan reps point of view?

They aren't hush hush. The invite was sent out a week before the meeting. I'm told, it was made clear everything discussed was for public consumption and nothing was off the table. THey've run for 9 years, by Beth, and the EFL mandate they happen at least twice a season. They aren't public fan forums to be advertised though and the fans reps in questions could/should communicate to the fans they represent. Again. My bad. Again not the clubs fault either.

All the fan groups are invited. More lately Youtube/Podcasts etc have also been invited. The actual people that come from these does change though. Its not always the same faces. As @Hooky feller mentioned he often invites other members of Hoyland Reds. I think the same goes for some of the other groups. The invite is open next time for you to come along though. I believe there were about 25 people in attendance for a couple of hours last week. No subject off the table. On top that the club do around 4 public fans forums during the course of the season (sometimes more). Often these include the actual owners of the club. Not to mention representatives they send to other fan nights. (like Hoyland Reds, Red All Over nights etc etc). I've spoken to lots of fans of other clubs via the Football Supporters Association, South Yorkshire Policing group etc. None of them get the access to the club and its directors that Barnsley Fans do. We are the most active club in the entire country probably. (Not to mention the direct access and interactions by JAQ via social media). Clearly there are improvements that can be made though as part of this process.

For the record, I'm always more than happy to attend any of these meetings on behalf of BBS. If it helps spread the load.

As you say no one gets to communicate with their club more than ours do. Its been mentioned by SYP on a couple of occasions with all other SY clubs reps present.

I sometimes think. Is it all worth it. I admire your staying power mate. (No stephen not that one) In the sense of the devil you dont put out minutes. but more the devil you do.

I look at wendy as an example. A chairman so far removed from reality in his views on the pricing structure in relation to the fans ability to pay. Bizzare press conferences. But doesn't have to answer to all and sundry the internal workings of the club. You look at their forum and it's all about how **** players managers and Chansiri are. + the bigging up of how massive they are . With the odd stadium falling apart comment.

There was one season Wendy had 1 public meeting with fans. That season we had 7.

Surely the the main Barnsley supporters group shouldn’t be putting out a statement to let all the fans know what has been said at the meeting. Some don’t have twitter etc.

In other news can you let rest of us know what the big news is?

    Probably yes.

No but it's pretty obvious what I think it is if you read this thread. Maybe it's something completely different though. SuperTyke's emails seems to suggest this is the case. Maybe we should just have a little bit of patience rather than posting multiple times a day about it? I'm sure it won't be too long before we get the detail around this. (The detail will be the the most interesting part of it in reality, if I am correct, and I have no idea about any of that)

The bar tender in my Cyprus hotel, who claims to be Temuri Ketsbaia and a close personal friend of Martin Devaney, reckons the big news is that the club have agreed to buy the ground in its entirety.

However, Stavros Flately, who was propping up the bar, reckons that Luton have outbid us and will be relocating the North Stand before the season kicks off.
