They are so thick its unbelievable. The person who wrote the article should have their harddrive checked too.
So we all know Huw Edwards is a closet homosexual. That's his problem. It's Philip Schofield all over again.
If the person of age has a reasonable belief that the other person is over age then there will be no offence.
Wasnt the case re Wyman though. He knew he was committing an offence. And age difference is also part of the issue. There is a 5yr guidance. I didnt go into the parameters, but that's one you're right about. .
Unless you appeared on TV every night as the face of a prestigious broadcaster with a persona of being a family man and devout Christian and your public image was integral to your job
I had no idea that Huw Edwards was married to be honest or that he was a Christian. I thought he was a bloke who reads the news.
The very same newsp.....sorry rags that love to blare PEDO stories from the rooftops to appeal to their bottom of the barrel readership's need to have someone to look down on and vilify.

Before this saga I had no idea Huw Edwards was married and before this thread that he was a ‘devout Christian’. I did however know he was a very good broadcaster and had been trusted with breaking the news of the death of the head of state, with commentating on her jubilee and later her funeral, and the de facto head newsreader on the national public broadcaster. So I’d say no they aren’t integral, not really. I’ve no clue or interest on the religious beliefs or family situation of Clive Myrie, Sophie Raworth or George Alagiah either. Nor any other bbc news presenter. Because it isn’t relevant to their job and they all do it well, to my eye and ear.
Never buy The Sun. Never read The Sun. Never believe anything they publish. Hopefully they get sued out of business. Scumbags.
Thanks to this media frenzy and witch hunt he's "that gay bloke" that reads the news. You and Troff have both made excellent assessments btw.
Yes my point , it isn’t who he is, or the image he has created and whilst personally what he does in his private life is his business I’m not naive in thinking it does matter to others
I think it's a shame for his family way it's come out. It was his right to be secretly gay, bi-sexual or whatever he is. Now it's thrust upon him.
