    No seriously, has to be Buddy Rich all day long. He could make drums talk and keep a sensational rhythm all the time. But apparently he was a ******* to his musicians, kept them on their toes all the time and wouldn't let them slacken off.

    I’m not sure if he’s classed as a top 20 drummer but Max Weinberg works bloody hard backing Springsteen for between 3 & 4 hours at a time
