    The way this pre-season is going, I can only presume Huw Edwards is about to be installed as Chairman.

    We don't swim in the same pool as those guys. They, along with other of their ilk have (mostly) got away with on and off-field misdemeanours ......... yes I know Derby got a deduction but by Christ, how many breaches did it take?

    We swim in the same pool as the likes of Bury. Small fry, easy to punish, take it lying down ......... THAT IS WHAT SCARES ME.

    (Caps cos I'm scared, not for dramatic effect).

    How I read this is that Conway fronting up for the US investors hid the actual beneficial owners and the EFL were not aware of this

    The follow up is the change of control with the new board not seeking EFL clearance as fit and proper.

    Conway’s legacy, the gift that keeps on giving.

    Don’t know mate couldn’t find it but I know they were charged in Feb this year for it.

    @Gally are the trust making contact with the club to try and get assurances and what these charges actually mean. Maybe more importantly who does actually own the club

    Could it not be Conway as CEO as well though?
    Seem to recall someone was charged for it last season for not clearing similar position first

    edit just checked and it was Peterborough for CEO position.

    Yes, but there's not just Conway culpable is there? I can't imagine he kept those ultimate beneficiaries secret against their will?

    It relates to BFC. Obviously given the circumstances you would hope any sanctions would fall firmly at the feet of Conway/Lee. I guess you can never be sure with the EFL though

    Some of our "open and transparent" board that only released a statement today after the EFL broke the news, are responsible for Conman and Lee joining us in the first place.

    I heard that point 4, allowing individuals to acquire control without passing a fit and proper persons test, refers to Martin nettleton who was secretly installed as owner behind the scenes.

    The redeeming difference is that much of their, and other clubs' **** has come through reckless spending beyond their means. That genuinely can't be levelled at us!

    You can invest in something without being directly involved in it though. There are whole industries built around that :) You'd still likely have an interest in its performance wether a football club or some other business wouldn't you?
