The season starts three weeks on Saturday and we’ve still only signed a non league defender and Hartlepool second choice keeper.

Can’t wait to finally sign those much needed players from Halifax and Solihull.

Even if all the massive catastrophe after catastrophe hadn’t happened I’m not ready for the season, wanted longer off after Wembley but with all that’s gone on, I’m dreading it

Not the only one. The club won’t be either if we’re relying on Makiessi, Jalo and Josiah Dyer being our front three all season.

They're not going to be though are they?
If they are I'll donate 100 quid to a charity of your choice.

That's not going to happen though. I can't see us selling Norwood and Cole, not replacing either and not bringing in some kinda loan similar to Tedic.

Norwood will pick up injuries and wouldn’t surprise me it Cole made a sideways step somewhere. Bagged 15 league goals last year and like Connell and Phillips, will want out sooner this window goes on with no ambition.

Norwood rarely lasted 90 mins last season if ever. Honestly think we're going to struggle bar a big change in the coming weeks.

I think I'll be reporting back late for the new season.

Tha allus has ya wassack. :);) start of season blues. it'll bi reight. Hopefully lol
On a serious note it has come round too quick. There's not many seasons I wanted to come round quickly as i like a break to watch other stuff. But the Hunter era I never wanted seasons to end..I know tha possibly too young to remember it, afore tha sez owt.
A wedding abroad gives me a little bit more respite. 1st 2 home games.

Don’t most forwards only last about 60 minutes?

Ain’t that just the way of the game these days with 5 subs & pressing football? Haaland rarely does 90 minutes.

The only three forwards for top English clubs I can think of who regularly do 90 minutes are Kane, Salah & Rashford & that’s only because the drop off in standard to their team mates is so big.

I’m pretty sure Norwood would do 90 minutes far more often if the manager doesn’t rate the other forwards in the squad.

But did duff rate the other forwards in the squad so highly? Cole was his regular striker who he seemed to rate as he started more or less every game.
Tedic took norwoods starting place towards the end of the season which looked a odd decision at times.
And watters hardly got a sniff.
I've seen many forwards over the years and recently last a full 90.

I just thought Duff lost the plot when we got near touching distance of automatics and started tinkering too much. Should have stuck with Cole and Norwood.

That would explain the strange situation with Tedic and Shaw.

I agree tedic wasn't upto league on standard he may improve but overall was poor. Even in the final v Wednesday poor and had a great chance which he fluffed with a poor touch.

Totally agree with the Duff part. Really wish he was still our manager but he’s got traits that’ll let him down in the Champ. I for one am not bitter about him going. Better paid job, bigger club and higher league but I honestly think he’ll struggle. He’s gone from Cheltenham to Swansea in just over a year. Massive jump. Wish him well though.
