Possibly not. As Patrick Cryne (the sole owner at the time the club handed the reins over) . They rest were part of the consortium. Unless you are aiming it at James./Jean
Don’t be daft. Absolutely no possibility of playing behind closed doors as a punishment for directors concealing who they represent. As others said Birmingham for a very similar offence got a suspended points deduction and a smaller fine than the directors involved. I would expect similar for us
Are our cancelled & behind closed doors games, owt to do with this business? I can’t see any reason for it, unless they’re expecting Glazier scale protests from DonnyTyke & his posse? Best thing to do is divert attention with a football match, Shirley?
I was thinking more as an accumulation of all our past behaviour. EFL have tried fines in the past and we still find bother. They will be debating other alternatives.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ How I recall it. Mentioned as you say as a passing comment and it was then the opportunity for others to take control. The post of chairman was only for a certain period. It took a while b4 that period run out and then they stepped in. I might not be certain about this but I mentioned in another post. That I thought it was mentioned Neerav wasn't happy to continue with his investment. And was ready to bail. Just a niggling memory. I may have picked it up as a rumour somewhere. You may be able to confirm.
Gally explained it better than I could. I have added what little i remember. In reply to Gally. But i think that lee who has the biggest share joined with the Conway group. To take control and to install him as chairman. The others were invited investors. With the Cryne family holding on to 20%. I can't remember exactly why the time scale was introduced. But the most logical one was to see how the club fared under his leadership. He obviously then didnt have the support to continue. Hence JAQ's arrival on the scene. And lee was out on his own. I think and stand corrected. Conman had/has a small investment of his own. But didnt take up on the new issue. Lee did I believe and still has the same % as prior. ? Please dont take everything as read as my memory is not as it was.
Great report mate. But didnt Neerav buy a.n. others shares ( which I thought was Beanes tbh till I read your post.) Who's did he buy to increase his shareholding which I thought happened. Or possibly not. ? (Discounting the latest issue)
No Chien bought Beane's and some off Neerav in November 2020. I think Neerav then bought Joshua D Samuelson's(??) as well as some of the other minority shareholders, so now there's only JAQ and her husband left outside of the ones we know.
They didn't take over a self sustaining club, Patrick was having to put money in most seasons to cover the losses. Like l said we haven't progressed in the last 20 years, regardless of who's been at the helm.
I wonder when the last time was that we were self sustaining for a period of a few years? With our gates at the level they are it would seem we can only run a lower end of League One side without input from the Board. I'd guess that in my lifetime the only times we've been self sufficient have been for short periods after big profits on player sales.
