Although the Luca Connell news is good news. Lets not let that blindfold the EFL sanction today or the fact we still haven't signed anyone of note and the season os 3 weeks away. Seems like that Luca contract has been timed perfectly after the EFL statement. Were in desperate need for quite a few players now and not long to bed in!!
Killip. Cotter, Kitching, McCarthy, Cadden Russell, Connell, Phillips. Cole, Shaw, Norwood. I think we're forgetting whoever we sign has to be better than what we have. Reserves: Cundy, Moon, Shepherd, Searle, Jalo, Dyer, Benson, Ackroyd, Wolfe. Up in air. Williams, Styles, Iseka and Kane. If anything the squad needs trimming not adding to. Can see us going down the loan route again for wing back cover and probably sticking to signing from the National League. Either way I'm not too fussed. It isn't as dyer as some are making out. Just hope we avoid a points deduction because that'll probably scupper a promotion bid and waste a year of the playing staffs contracts further weakening the club's stature.

All the same, stating the bloody obvious. My answer is simples.. what the fck do you expect any of us to do about it? Seriously, go knock on a few doors at Oakwell, if you’re that worried. But here’s a clue.. The new coach has been in his job a matter of days, Now tell me if I’m wrong, but in my day, it was prudent & generally good manners to allow the new coach time to assess his new squad of players & strengthen accordingly, with whatever means afforded to them. Personally, I’m happy we haven’t gone panic buying (we can’t afford to!) same as we didn’t rush into appointing another crap manager. Just to appease a few bleating, entitled, everything last week, sky subscribing fannies, who can’t hold their bottles for longer than a week, but who are first to kick off every time something doesn’t go to plan. These are the REAL WOKES amongst us, despite their far right tendencies & not the sort you’d want watching your back in an ACTUAL crisis. & just for clarity for other goldfish brains like me.. BFC reached the playoff final. Which = 2 weeks delay to the staff summer break & 2 weeks later coming back than normal average & crap seasons. (Same aforementioned fannies wanting to string Disco up, for still being on holiday, when they had backed him as their tin pot cheap option, made me proper lol..) Then, despite his ‘undying commitment’.. Long Haul Duff spunks another 2 weeks of our summer, dragging his feet, just in case the dominoes didn’t fall his way & the Swans job fell through. Then we finally appoint hopefully the right bloke & allow him time to wind things up in Florida, & mind his young family. So, by my reckoning, we’re about a month behind where we might be. Blame who you like, but I’d rather the new gaffer picks out the new players, rather than the board signing more Belgian protégés, because they saw it on a fcking computer programme. Thread was more supposed to highlight the contract is good mews yes but it makes us no stronger as he was there last year and also the timing of it is there to take the focus off of the efl embargo.
