Hey I hope your right lol. But at the moment, I've a niggling feeling that -6 points might be the least of our worries. Already as we speak, both Collins and Stead are desperately looking for a release clause.
I’ve just heard it’s going to be a point deduction at the end of the season by how much depends on where we finish to take is out of the automatic or playoff position this is from someone who knows f all and is a Leeds supporter
Love your optimism but we’ll be nowhere near the top. I’m saying a steady 14th with plenty of potential shown.
But you seem to be assuming we won't sign anyone else before the beginning of the season, which is clearly extremely unlikely.
But your assuming the signings will be better than the players that have left. Mads? Isted/Collins,luke thomas, Bobby Thomas? I know Thomas was never our player but that's irrelevant were still weaker. Even tedic and watters who I wasn't their biggest fan will the forwards we bring in be better? We look to be leaving it all late which is never good. Get your signings done get them together for pre season so they can gel. We're not doing that.
I'm not assuming anything, I'm just reserving judgement until more players have been signed and I've seen them play. It's obvious we'll be bringing in another keeper, our record for uncovering top quality centre halves is very good, and as you say last season's loan strikers weren't world beaters, so the assumption would be we'll be able to sign someone who at the very least is no worse.
But there isn't much to be positive about. Like I said to have a decent start your always better recruiting early so there together for a good pre season. We haven't we have lost duff, mads, luke thomas, Collins and the loans isted thomas watters and tedic and brought in no one who's played in this league before. Oh and were in bother by the efl, Give me something to be positive about and I will be.
Hopefully we get them in fast so they can be part of pre season. Sorry I can't be positive in the hope we will bring in some better players in the coming weeks.
Cant see how a points deduction is fair. Where was the competitive advantage gained? Isnt that a factor?
Current board, which took over informed EFL of misdemeanour immediately they took charge of failing to form EFL of change in March
As I have said before they could see it as a topping up procedure after getting fed up with us. They have given us warnings and fines before for fans on the pitch, sexist chanting, sectarian abuse etc. At what point does the EFL say to themselves we have given Barnsley many chances and let them off with fines, but now we have to go tougher?
