Agree with pretty much all of that, Gally. I guess I'd like to encourage more fans to treat the Board as "us" instead of "them".
I see them in the same light as you.
But, in your opinion, do you see them as engaged in shoring up the club until they can sell it or do you reckon they're here for, dare I say it, the long haul?
And I know that will be your gut feeling not quotable fact. How far have we got Neerav and Julie Anne hooked on BFC?
    :)

Interesting you say that cos I thought other day it seems worse this summer than last and we had a lot more to be pissed about then.
Maybe it’s a cumulative effect, dunno.

    Well said Gally.
I personally think we will be ok and agree with most of your points.
But I am old school brought up on Chronicle, Y Post and Teletext snippets.
Society has sadly changed a lot of attitudes and patience is a trait which seems to be dying out.

I personally think We have Mads replacement already in Lopata. We have an ex Chelsea academy GK which is all Collins was, from Burton, I bet people moaned at that at the time when Davies left.
Debrah I think would be a great addition too if it happens.
We just extended Connell, is that not a fabulous signing? (maybe protecting our assets, but everyone was worried he was off).

I am sure we will see more updates as the new coaches settle.

Just remember to date, we have lost 1x 1st team CB, 1x loan RCB & probably about to lose our 1st choice (not after his injury) GK from our starting 11.

If that's it and we can improve some other areas with more quality, competition and depth.
We could be in a better place anyway.

Collins and Stead know the score and I expect them to move us on, if not straight away, then eventually.

So you can reply when it suits then.

And yeah I’m still going with rarely, since that press conference last season normal regular supporters have heard nothing from him.

Yep. It's not the ins and outs of the EFL charges, transfer policy etc that would be of interest. Just a little bit of harmless insight into his character. It's easier when you get to interact with the guy directly either at a Q and A session or on a train after the match. I forget what percentage of communication is non verbal but it's a lot.
I wonder if he fancies a weekend in Dingle. :)

Can’t like this enough, I don’t do Twitter and the stories I read and get told about the posts on there sound horrific. Of course everyone’s allowed an opinion, but the minority brain dead seem to flourish on there.

That is so true Hooky. The idiots who post destructive and barbed comment are a disgrace. thoughtless comment can be and is hurtful. as we all know it's commonplace not only in football but across the whole of social media these days.
However, I always naively hope that as the BFC fanbase we could and should strive to raise ourselves above the negative and cynical masses.
For someone like the ever enthusiatic Julie it must be a real culture shock to get exposed to the tripe she sees on our social media outlets. Good for her that the glass is half full
Of course the other dimension to all this, as has been said in this thread, is that all the negativity is actually not representative of the thousands of others who don't post their thoughts.
    come. on. you. Reds

Another great post. Objective. Factual. Pleas for patience and perspective.
My worry is that all those who disagree will never change their natural inclination to moan.
For some crazy unfathomable reason, the worst of the cynics never get to realise there is another point of view.
    Will it ever change?
Whoa.......just looked out my window and there's another pink pig flying across the sky....

Not sure what you mean about replying

You were talking about attendance at games when you mentioned the word rarely weren't you? Clearly, it wasn't rarely. He’s definitely done a couple of fans forums last season open for any fan to attend and put questions to him. He's been in the fan zone before games 3 times that I remember (maybe more) and has taken the time to speak to fans. He was interviewed on stage at least one of those. There are numerous things from him on the website, the last talking about recruitment of the new head coach after Duff left. What do you want? A personal call each time a decision is made?

I’ve asked you questions in the past couple of weeks which you chose to rudely ignore.

Not every supporter gets to go to these forums so what use is that? Same with going to the outside fanzone, a lot of fans are put off going to it. And that’s cute about wanting a personal call from the chairman, I’m not lucky enough to have that like some people most likely are.

Were they rudely asked? Also, I have a job and a family so I can't be on here all the time. Feel free to PM me if there is a burning question

I’ve PM’d you before with a question which was never asked so doesn’t seem like much point.

I would say that under the current board everything seems much better at Oakwell and would agree with the majority of what Gally says. However, a serious issue such as charges from the EFL imo requires better PR. Not Neerav, but Khaled could easily have put out a statement or done a brief interview to reassure the fanbase. I know it's a legal matter and therefore no specific details will be shared, but just something to soothe anxious minds.

Overall the current board are doing well in difficult times. Levels of current investment mean there's little chance of them progressing much in the football pyramid and competing in the Championship will be very tough. Time will tell if they're able to do so...

Would be nice to give the 9,000 season ticket holders a bit of reassurance because i don’t think we will hear the outcome of this efl inquiry till well into the season.

The club put out a bulletin explaining the charges which have arisen after an internal investigation, it’s over to the EFL now , I don’t think Khalid can really say anything else about it and he probably shouldn’t
