No idea about Kitching.. but it quite obvious that because we've buckled In the past.. clubs are wanting Styles cheap. But fair play, the sheer fact he's still here means we're standard firm.. well in Khalid
If we refuse to sell him to a club that's tripling his wages, we immediately become far, far, far less attractive to potential players.
Soo we just let him go for free then because we look less attractive to future players! Jesus some of our fans have been well and truly brainwashed.
A contract is a contract, players must honour it, if anyone refused to play let them rot training with the reserves, & don’t accept any bids.
Mads sold, Styles and Collins on the way out. Kitch has a long time left on his contract. Absolutely no need to be accepting £1.5 million, and if rumours are to be believed they've already offered a lot more than that. Having said that, I guess we'd be able to replace him more than adequately for well under a million, so if we get the reported £2.9m I won't be overly disappointed. I'd just be concerned about the disruption to the defence. Could cost us a few points while the new faces get settled.
Why do we think we have to crumble to players’ demands. He was happy enough to sign an extension not long ago so we should make him stick to it. Plenty of other clubs do so why don’t we show some backbone? If he’d one year left it might be a different story but he hasn’t.
True. However if they're willing to triple his wages but not pay a proper transfer fee then they were never really serious about tripling his wages.
And players that would refuse to play even more so. We hold his contract if there isn't a get out clause. He goes nowhere. If he refuses to play he rots in the reserves. Barnsley hold most of the cards. If someone wants him. They would have to pay the price. Put on his head. If they want him that bad then they'd better put their hands in their pockets. Not that I think it's true. But the statement applies to anyone In similar circumstances imo. Section C1 of the FA rules, meanwhile, prohibits a player who is under contract, or his agent, from talking to other clubs, or being approached by other clubs, without the consent of the player's current club.
Never said that, but there's a middle ground. Letting him rot in the reserves helps absolutely nobody, the club least of all.
If Kitching is sold then we’ve basically waved the white flag to next season. Didn’t Khaled say minimum disruption this season after what happened last summer…..yeah reight
Aye You could look at another way, we make an example out of them so it won’t happen again. If we keep backing down to this sort of stuff it will be happening again and again.
Player power and players pushing for moves. Styles doesn't suprise me probably wanting barnsley to let him go at a cut price. He's wanted out for ages, refusing to train or play when a club are paying your wages is a lovely people trick. Kitching suprises me maybe had his head turned by championship wages and forcing a move.
Been told he was sat on the bench watching against Leeds after taking a knock in training, so we are probably all overreacting here haha
But if we sell him then it will all be the clubs fault and khaleds, if he is refusing to play he should be fined wages and disciplined and told he can leave if Coventry match his valuation, they have just sold that striker for 20million there nit short.
What both of them got injured? More I hear about styles more I dislike him (if true) if that was iseka the pitch forks would be out.
