Because the club made an error and had gave fans no option but to pay for postage that they didn't want. After it was highlighted they quietly changed it and whitey posted on the day saying "I have mentioned it to colleagues and I'm sure it's something that will be picked up after the Bank Holiday.". 10 weeks later and not a word. No explanation, no apology, nothing. Just a lot of fans forced to spend money through no fault of their own.

By the way it was the play off semi final home leg not season tickets.

It's yet another disappointing bit of communication from the club. They have eyes and ears, they can read. They know that there has been a problem purely from the sheer number of people who have said they haven't had theirs yet that isn't acknowledged at all in their statement. Wouldn't have hurt to have said they are aware of a large number of fans who haven't received theirs and that the club would like to apologise and will make sure that anyone affected will have their tickets resent instead of basically acting like it must be all the fans' faults and must have not checked their spam folder, all of them.

I can only guess that they haven't a clue who they have/haven't sent them to and so need people to contact them to say they haven't got it yet. This way they get to pretend everything is ok and hope people think it's just theirs that hasn't arrived. I'm surprised this communication didn't come via text/email too as there'll be loads of people who haven't had their tickets who won't see this and know to contact them.

I'm surprised it's taken them this long to acknowledge the issue considering that their email originally said "Digital season tickets will be sent during the first two weeks of June" yet here we are a month later and they are now saying all tickets have been processed? Shouldn't that have happened a month ago?

Although I suspect that message was just left on there from LAST year because it's word for word the same and can't possibly have related to the purchase I made in the third week of June this year but it was still there saying they would time travel and send it out a week before I bought

If that is the case I dont think it was a deliberate move. And will be refunded in time. See my reply to his post. And I renewed very early in the early bird at the box office itself. I didn't do mine online. as it wouldnt allow me to claim my Centenary discount as an oap. A glitch of the system..

I got a bit mixed up, SuperTyke has posted above what it referred to. People are still waiting for their Portsmouth refunds though so I wouldn't be holding my breath.

Still waiting for mine and so is my son, separate email address. I have my original purchase email, 12th April, and nothing since bar marketing communications.
Ive been happy to cut them some slack for the loss of Beth, but to be told we should now have had them and to see so many in the same position as me, is very worrying and smacks of a major cockup.

Major cockup and even bigger attempt to cover it up. And this is exactly why people distrust those running the club.

This was released afore sales. In the more info section
    Digital Ticket Or Season Card?
All 2023/24 Season Ticket Holders will be provided with an option upon purchase. It is preferred that tickets are issued digitally for the season, meaning supporters access the stadium using a smart mobile phone.

However, Season Ticket Holders will be offered the choice to purchase physical Season Card for an additional £5. Renewing Sesason Ticket Holders from 2022/23 with physical Season Cards – keep them, as your QR code will remain valid.

Every Season Ticket will be issued digitally for 2023/24, enabling supporters to access the stadium using their smart mobile phone.

Here's the link so I guess a error was made in the first day or 2. With comms ?
It also points out what cards would be paid for in the Faq's

As I said in the reply you quoted, I got a bit mixed up but SuperTyke posted the correct explanation here:

But think they are getting a new one. I bought 8 just b4 the early bird finished (not mine) and tbh I'm trying to remember what I did for who lol.
5 kept same seats. chose card update.
2 New ST holders both I think digitally
1 moved seats Requested new card.

3 of us did it early doors.
Managed to get all sat together front and behind.
