Similar reaction from their fans as from Tampa fans when Collins went. Glad we are making other teams miserable for once
Mention in the comments of Preston interest. As far as lower league signings go, I like the look of this lad. Enhanced by comments from HTFC fans.
Didn’t we get Marc Roberts from Halifax? If we we can land him and he’s anything like Marc he’ll do for me
Pretty sure Huddersfield tried to buy him in January but bid was rejected. Based on what I've seen of him and what I've read from Halifax fans, I am a fan of this one as well.
desperate days when everyone getting giddy at prospect of a national league player joining us, Halifax fans think he's great, what all 2000 of them, suppose its all we can do in the modern era, marquee signings a thing of the past . good luck to the lad, lets hope he the new Mads
That's the spirit. Marc Roberts, Ethan Pinnock, Dan Burn, Jamie Vardy all played for none league teams until they got a transfer into the league. Why are we too good/big to sign players from Halifax? A very Wednesdayite reaction tbh.
Some folk seem unable to grasp the concept that we're currently in League One and struggling to make ends meet. Marquee signings indeed. The same folk that complain we're being done out of millions for not getting full value for players from non league clubs when we come to sell them. It seems they're s**t when they arrive but Messi when they leave.
I wished lad good luck, but its hardly headline news, not long ago we was paying a million for Kane , now we seem to be restricted to trying to unearth hidden jewels
I don't know why and I have never seen any clips of him playing, but I just think that he is going to come good and be another Ethan Pinnock. We'll see. Nathan James also looks a good un as well. It doesn't matter too much where they are coming from. It's where they are heading that matters and I think we may well have got this one right. Well done the board and welcome Jesse.
Would get my approval this signing just by how highly he is rated by Halifax fans and the list of other clubs interested. Hope we can get it over the line... over to you khaled
What sort of marquee player should we be going for given our limited finances? I know I'd much rather have a young, hungry lad who is working his way up the ladder, looking to impress and build a career than some old championship has been just looking for a last decent wage packet.
It's the type of non league signing you would be happy about taking a chance on, good reputation, key player at his club etc. The issue been we are hoping that he is good enough for a first team slot straight away, it's not like we have three established top League 1 centre backs already in position. I don't mind this signing as long as we are also bringing in at least one more seasoned central defender.
