I don’t think I’d want a player in the squad if he didn’t have ambitions, however unlikely, to one day play in the Premier League. What’s the alternative? A team of Kevin Donovan’s, whose only goal seemed to be to not get injured, or a team of Brian McCord’s, who didn’t even want to play, as it got in the way of his fishing?
I suppose he's seen what Mads has achieved and wants a bash too. Personally I don't think he's as good a player as Mads but nowt wrong with pushing himself !
If he'd said what fans Want to hear. False platitudes. As most so. Hed get slated when he left. As most do. Nowt wrong in that interview.
I dont understand why some are looking for something in this interview that does not exist, he said nothing wrong, he has ambition and so he should but he also says he would not be against a new contract here , he spoke well about the new boss & said nothing negative .
Nope. It's natural. always has been, always will be. A player wanting to go to the next level asap. Career wise. Money wise. Mads said as much the same. Not one adverse comment. Yet here we are criticising the lad for having aspirations.
No criticism here, good on him I say...... But when the club sells at the first opportunity and openly creates a selling culture then it is their problem
You're assuming the club wants to sell. They may be in talks. Most clubs would struggle if they didn't sell players including us. But sometimes they offer up new contracts. Eg Connell. And the Styles situation was a smart move imo. They didn't cash in at the earliest opportunity. ? Nor did they with mads. When offers were coming in. Last 2 windows. Selling at the earliest opportunity is if a player is into the last year of his contract and wont renew. Sometimes you have to make a decision in the best interests of the club. Keeping hold of a player guarantees nothing.
Sad indictment of where we are. If Luton can get to the PL, so can we. Clearly, even that ambition isn't there at the football club.
I like Jordan. But he did seem to go through ‘mad phases’ last season when he didn’t seem able to do anything right. Good luck to him anyway.
Not a derogatory snigger but an honest answer. He has the pace to play at a higher level but not sure about Prem.
If he leaves and we’re left with Barry Cotter playing wing back I’d suggest you might change your view on that
Imho we are better team with him in the 11. He has faults which is why he plays for us, his pace gets him out of a load of scrapes, good to very good div one player ...possibly get by in championship with better players around him. I thought overall he was good last year with Bobby Thomas near by. Will we sell?....of course, if an offer came in (maybe £400k) but not sure it will. We will need his pace again next season.
Wonder if he was a Blue Fritzl player would Radio Pig be asking these questions? I'm surprised Barnsley still welcome them to Oakwell. No wonder some folk call us tinpot when we allow amateur reporters in
I don't think there is anything wrong in what has been said, but I do think that the laugh is disrespectful to the club. I f'kingnhate my current employer, but if I was asked a question about them I would laugh.
He came into a back 3 at “Project Restart” and was consistently good pretty much every game as we performed our great escape. If used correctly he is 100% a championship player. Don’t particularly think RWB is his best position as it goes. I suspect he won’t be a premier league player. But he’s still pretty young, why shouldn’t he aspire to keep improving and go as far as he can?
