Think VAR correctly used there would have given the pen but there was a foul by Russo just before. Clear booking at least and given
What I don't understand with VAR is that I'd say the potential leg breaker on the England player was a clear and obvious error. It was a certain foul. The slight touch on the Haiti player I don't think was clear and obvious in any way. Yet the VAR decision was to rule that that the slight touch was a CLEAR AND OBVIOUS error by the referee when it just wasn't at all. It's also crazy how long it's just taken to give an absolutely obvious handball. And a very very weak penalty. Well placed but very weak. And now we are in the third VAR check what a joke. Retake
I think VAR has worked well in this game and the right decisions given. But why wasn't the Handball a sending off. ?
The keeper should have both legs tied together and blind folded if penalty misses first time ffs. What chance does the goaly have. Stupid rule
The best part of the var usage is the referee actually speaking to the crowd. So easy to implement but so much resistance to it from the fa
Not really. The rule is simple, don't come off your line. What would you suggest? 1 yard in front is fine? 2? 3? There has to be a rule that's clear and the big white line is it. Remember that the reason the goalkeeper is facing a penalty is because their team has committed a foul in the box.
No it’s not the rule is a keeper has to have at least one foot on or behind the line when the ball is kicked. Seems fair to me. Haiti keeper clearly moved forwards narrowing the angle clear breach of the rule. What would you suggest as an alternative
