Brilliant entertainment and commitment from all 4 teams. Leigh beat St Helen's yesterday.
Hull KR v Wigan gone into extra time. First score wins. Certainly plenty of drama.
    Edit
well done Hull KR. Win the final for Yorkshire.

Unreal drama, there’s no better for sport for drama.

Well in KR; batter Leigh in the final now.

Fantastic games both of them. Must say Hull KR fans were absolutely brilliant. They gave their players that little bit of extra energy to get over the line.

2 great games. Honestly thought KR would rue not going for drop goal bang Center 10 yards out with 10 mins to go.

Great for game, would have been routing for leigh had Wigan got there. But hope KR win in now.

The Leigh - Saints semi final was possibly the longest afternoon of my life. Being a Leigh and Barnsley fan, I wrote off any chance of seeing a major final at Wembley when Cardiff beat us in 2008. I certainly never thought I’d see the day Leigh made a Challenge Cup final. I actually had tickets and hotel booked for nearly a year, because we like to go to the cup final for a weekend away. Never occurred to me that we might be in it!

Saturday’s game was nerve shredding, and I was convinced that Makinson would get that conversion at the end, and no way we’d have got the golden point, they were out on their feet. It was only really after that miss that I could enjoy it.

Sadly, Wembley isn’t a lucky ground for me. Watched Barnsley there in 2000, 2008 and 2023. But not 2016. Maybe I shouldn’t go after all!

Both semis were nerve jangling last half hrs. and I wanted both Leigh and Hull KR to win. I'd have been a complete wreck if I was a fan of one. I wish you luck. (Hull for being Yorkshire) but it's not owt I'd lose sleep over.
I want Fev Promoted as I've taken to em over the years.

It wouldn't have been far off! There was a specific block on the club wembley tier that was on a Black Friday deal last year, so got tickets there. But have since bought more tickets in the Leigh end, and now trying to figure out how best to flog the tickets I don't need.

Should be a great final, albeit another nervy one. Two teams knowing it's probably the best chance of a major trophy win they'll ever get.

Leigh’s achievements are incredible particularly this season.
As a Trinity supporter I envisaged both Leigh and us would be contesting the bottom spot this season but how wrong was I ?
    What’s Leigh’s secret ?

I thought similar, particularly in the first half of the league game at Wakefield earlier this season, when I thought there were two poor teams playing. But then Leigh pulled away in the second half.

I think this season is just a case of lots of things clicking, similar to how they did for Barnsley under Val. Not many injuries to key players (though second row seems to be a jinxed position for us), we've played some teams at good time (e.g. Saints just after world club challenge with a few players suspended). But also some very good players. I don't think there's a better 13 in the country than Asiata, Lam is having an excellent season, Hardaker and Luetele will be fairly high on the list when it comes to centres,- Ipape has been excellent since he came and O'Brien has always been an underrated full back imo. Add to that Adrian Lam's clear ability to organise a defence (it was attack that was his issue at Wigan), and it all adds up.

All Leigh fans know this could crash and burn at any given moment, we're used to that. But will just enjoy it for what it is now. If we lose at Wembley, will be gutted, but never thought I'd ever see us there in the first place, so will be able to put some perspective to it.

I've been a Sheffield Eagles fan almost from the beginning, and I'll never forget the day we turned Wiggin over in the final at Old Wembley. Biggest no-hopers ever (and still to this day). One of THE great experiences of my life.

I always remember Leigh being a small, traditional club who'd been sidelined by the ban on promotion and relegation. What happened there then? (I don't follow Rugby League so excuse my ignorance).
