Tonight’s culinary delight Binghams funeral meight on wholemeal toastfull of proteinfancied it all week but she,d only do me this……ps there’s a hound waiting for my leftovers
Binghams? Posh two hat. I’m lucky to get Asda’s own, princes at a push. And on proper pov medium sliced white too, not posh gear like that!!!
Yeah I’d have had more on, and I’m not sure about the posh looking pepper/chilli flake seasoning. What it gains in flavour it loses in true pov food credentials. Overall 3/10 for pov status, needed to be cheap nasty bread, buttered (well, smeared with smartprice spread), and if wanting extra seasoning, just a bit of salt. Maybe a sprinkle of pepper if feeling flush! I’m all fairness it looks nice, to the point I’ve added a jar to my Asda shop this week!
We always save the dripping and I have it with bread or on toast. That reminds me, Pork for dinner tomorrow
Looks lovely. Question .... does potted meat, or potted beef, still exist? Not the bland mush but the sort that had chewy meaty bits in.
They sell it at Cannon Hall Farm Shop. About 2 or 3 quid a tub. Really, really nice and much better than the 'bland mush' as you call it
Dad took me to the doctors. Faircloughs at Hoyland. He complained about how I wouldnt eat hardly anything but bread and dripping and ate it every time I got home from school. (had to be pork) . Leaving owt else put in front of me. I was around 12/13 at the time. He said to mi dad. "Dont worry about it Mac. Hes getting goodness out ot meyt" I just liked it that much. It wasnt a case of only thing to eat. As everyone else int family ate most things. Mi dad would eat owt. Put in front of him. Except indian food when it came on the scene. Mi mrs banned it when we got married lol. But I had 5/6 slices everytime I visited mi parents. Mi mam had it for Breakfast every day of her life. We both carried/carry in my case the white circles around the iris. Signs of high cholesterol. It can also be hereditary apparently. (The white circles that is. Not eating bread and dripping lol.)
