Who’s realistically going to use the south stand car park now? It has been bedlam before now, and now they are wanting to send the away buses on their way first?

    Oh dear.

I can see it being much busier on ponty rd and on the industrial estate etc

    Seems sensible to me.

After the games shouldn’t be affected much - only when we’re playing big teams, which is not as many in L1.

We think we're making a reasonable provision for disabled supporters even though we have a waiting list.
    Yeah ok...

Being a Barnsley fan you should always have some at the ready.

I wonder if they have sorted all the floodlights in the south stand car park, so you aren't walking through after a night game in pretty dark conditions, surrounded by hundreds of cars.

Oakwell Lane will be fun as usual pre and post game.

So at half past two, when the gates are closed and there's a queue of cars the length of Grove Street

Bonkers to give preferential treatment to our opposition fans.

No problems with them establishing rules but they should surely do it before they take your renewal money given that these new rules introduced afterwards now likely make it impossible for us to use the car park.

And unlike most businesses these days, it's a shame that 'liaison with key stakeholders' doesn't include users - those who've used the car park, every year, since day one.

I wonder if this will be accompanied by measures to ensure that traffic is guaranteed to flow freely around the ground before kick-off? Many's the times I've arrived over an hour before kick-off but only got in to the car park with 10-15 minutes to spare.

I thought that was a weird and unnecessary thing to state, it just serves to antagonise for no reason. Especially when it’s followed up with ‘however, we have limited options and cannot be expected to save spaces’. There was no need to include the words ‘be expected to’, just say ‘we have limited options and cannot save spaces.’

Personally I think there's a lot to be said for being a gracious host and looking after your guests.

It's either a poor choice of words, or very defensive for no reason, or both. A pity really. If a comms job comes up I'm applying, moving north this year :)

It sounds like they’ve had some complaints.

Not surprising really. I liked the lighthearted Dallas-themed teaser yesterday on the socials, but you can't follow it up with being all stern for no reason the day after, and treat your disabled supporters with veiled contempt about the car park. It's poor stuff.

I don't use the car park, it doesn't affect me. Thought I better make that clear. Just think the tone is a bit, I dunno, aggressive? Blunt anyway. Maybe I'm seeing something that isn't there.

I'm the same Jay. In fact, I'd encourage people to walk in or park away from the ground if they're able, to make it easier for themselves. But disabled fans obviously have no choice.
